Then you have the gall to complain for having to reap what you sow. If you are going to insult and lash out at people on the internet, at least have the back bone to take responsibility for your actions.
Exactly. People who have differing opinions don't get hammered by expressing them for the most part. It's the obsessive compulsives w who drag their agendas into every discussion on the board who do.
Quote:If Hill showed a better ability to hang onto the football I would be for bringing him in here if he's cut. I don't see how him being in this offense is going to suddenly make him a good pass catcher. I wouldn't be upset if he's brought here if cut because I'd trust in Caldwell for doing so. However I don't see him panning out to what he was drafted to be.
What I find rather entertaining about this discussion is the fact that the biggest Hill advocate has referred to him as stone hands.
Quote:TMD is the queen of back stepping or side stepping issues where he's dug himself in so deeply.
He's quick to label others but he thinks he's slippery enough to avoid the same thing for himself.
The problem with TMD stating an opinion is he gets confused and thinks his viewpoint is indeed fact. When it's proven to be wrong, suddenly he's preaching a different tune. If someone else has a change of heart, he's the first one in there ripping them as flip floppers.
THats not true.
And you are the king of "do as I say and not as I do">
WHen people hold a strong opinion such as the Leftwich is going to be a franchise QB for 3-4 years and then change thats one thing, and yeah, I'll call someone on that.
Im not one to usually give someone flack for altering an initial opinion as development happens.

Again, I wasn't talking about me. I can handle the flack I get for the most part.....
I was speaking about others that do nothing like what you suggest above, and post tactfully, and intelligently and are still bashed for having an anti company line opinion.
I've seen it.
Maybe its not you bashing them, but I've still seen it.
Theres some on here that simply do not want to see ANY shake up of the status quo. They don't want ideas that suggest to alter anything thats currently being done. Otherwise they get on the uber defensive and attack.

I think a better QB throwing better passes can help him as a pass catcher. If some of his drops are the result of him not getting enough separation due to being a poor route runner and the DB being able to interfere too much, then thats also something that goos coaching can help improve. If Hill still has issues after all of the benefits here (Better QB/ better coaching) then you let him go. And it cost you very little to bring him in and take a chance.

We were talking about you and your actions, were we not? Bringing other people into this is only a form of deflection. Take ownership for your actions, be a man. Pointing fingers is a child's tactic.
If you don't like the way opinions are treated on this board, then quit facilitating this negative response by forcing your opinions down everyone's.throat.
If you don't like the way people respond to your opinions then quit using them as a basis to judge, persecute, and condemn people. That way when you feel the need to change your opinion, which are wrong as often as not, you want face near the friction because you didn't force it on people like some kind of pompous jerk.

Well, go back a few posts up, it was brought up that this board is okay with questioning, but not bashing. Thats what I was responding to.
Its not deflecting anything,

I need to put on wading boots when reading the excrement you're posting in this thread.

Interesting how you omitted everything else in that post.

When the subject is your actions, pointing out the boards actions is deflection. It's trying to point fingers elsewhere.
Like I said, a child's tactic.
Quote:Players, not plays.
He'll never agree to it because that would put a big hole in his agenda. Coaching is what makes players until such time as he doesn't like a coach, then it's the player making the coach. The diva should consider trying out for the Bolshoi.

I've been staying clear of most of TMDs posting lately as I don't dig all of the "piling on" that's been happening to him lately. But it's instances like the above that will usually cause me to chime in. That part is annoying, especially when "
he doesn't write his posts, the coaches/players do."
Annnnnnnnyway, what was the topic again? Oh yeah, Hill. I thought he was an interesting boom or bust prospect before that draft. I even stated that I wouldn't be upset if we took him because his upside was so freakish. But - his future is looking bleak at the moment.
If anyone could fix him, it'd be Sully, but I'm not optimistic enough to risk much finding out. Especially when our receiving corps is finally showing promise.

Doesn't mean I didn't read it, but was trying argue the point I was making.

Thank you for using corps correctly.
Hill represents no upside to this team in a trade scenario. If he's on the street, and they want to take a flyer and bring him in because of an injury, that's fine. Maybe Sullivan gets something out of him. Maybe he doesn't.

While avoiding the rest of his point. You do it all the time with your selective responses.

You're so dishonest its pathetic.
I've always maintained that yes there has to be talent within the player, but for players to also reach their pinnacle of potential that good coaches make the difference.
A talentless player is never going to become a star via great coaching....
Just as a talented player with bad coaching is likely to not see the zenith of his profession.
Both are equally important.

No, I was not avoiding the rest of his point. Once again thats YOU assuming.
A point can still be taken despite not responding to the rest of the post....
I know, crazytalk....

I don't want to risk much either.
Its not like I'm saying to trade a 3rd rounder or more for this guy.
Ace Sanders with a 4 game suspension already attached to his resume might be worth a 6th/ 7th rounder right now.
Given Doss is here and can handle returns - and has a track record of excellence in that dept, Sanders is expendable in a Hill trade.
