By the way, I don't think Caldwell will cut Brown for Hill, but I'd personally take the gamble.

Quote:This thread will be funny if/when Stephen Hill succeeds in a new setting.Funny no team traded a 7th rounder for him either...

Quote:I said it wasn't likely. Learn to read. After all that crying you did about people overvaluing 7th round picks, no one traded a 7th for him.

Hilarious.
Quote:No teams used a 7th round pick to trade for Jimmy Smith, but he was well worth it, no?
Quote:I remember when Jason Hill was supposed to be the next Jimmy Smith...
Quote:What does this have to do with anything? It has about as much relevance as people using the Jimmy Smith argument.

Quote:My point exactly, just because Stephen Hill is fast and not living up to his potential doesn't mean he's going to be the next Jimmy Smith.
Quote:Who said he has to be the next Jimmy Smith to make Hill worth a flier? Hill only has to be better than 7th round picks which are usually low floor, low ceiling players that almost never amount to something. I trust our ELITE receiver's coach to turn Hill into something relevant more than I'd trust a 7th round pick to turn into something relevant.
I'm shocked at how stupid people are to understand the low risk/high reward point I'm making about Smith.

Quote:Hey, people are free to disagree with the point I'm making. When they misrepresent the point I'm making, despite being spoon-fed the point, then I question their intelligence. I'm not saying Hill will be as good as Smith. I'm merely stating that sometimes the low risk, high reward moves can pay dividends. I'm also stating that Sullivan didn't randomly wake up with the reputation of an elite WR coach. If anyone could get something out of Hill, it would be Sullivan. If even Sullivan can't get something out of him, the effect it has going forward is minimal.
