Quote:"Air" must wear number 79, and go by the nickname Brandon Brooks.

That, and you need to check your eyes.
Him falling over and barely touching his legs qualifies as a legitimate block in a 1 on 1 situation? No. These are grown men not children, a little brush on the leg isn't a block. Use common sense.
Quote:Yes, 18 yard losses are worthless for a defense....
YOU'RE AN IDIOT TMD, I SAID THE PLAY WAS GOOD, BUT SAYING BRANCH IS A GOOD DE FOR RUNNING THROUGH AIR FOR THE SACK ISN'T IMPRESSIVE

IS JASON HILL A GOOD WR BECAUSE OF THAT 70+ YARD BOMB HE CAUGHT FROM GABBERT WHEN THE COVERAGE GOT BLOWN? NO. WAS THAT A GREAT PLAY?  YES.

Do you have a brain? Try using it.
Quote:So I guess we should dismiss about half of Lawrence Taylor's sacks because they were speed rushes and nobody touched him.

There's only one place that you 'won' any argument. In your head.
Are you suggesting Lawrence Taylor could not beat his man one on one?

If Jason Hill would have kept up those type of plays then yes.

Just like when Andre Branch continues to get home to the QB, via stunts or otherwise, he'll also be viewed as good.

See....thats how it works.

Enjoyed the ZOMGALLCAPSZ though... Laughing

Are you suggesting Branch hasn't or never will?

He has once or twice, the one against GB was nice.. please show me more. Bet you can't. He's awful against the run (just so you know, you have to play the run sometimes as a DE) maybe you forgot that. Not only is he not producing well in the passing game, he's one of the main reasons for our poor run d last year.

Caps apparently are nessacary since I've said this like 5 times and you idiots haven't gotten it yet.

So one piece of the front 7, an outside pass rusher at that, is one of the main reasons for the poor run D of last year?...

I see...

All us idiots are getting the bigger picture here. Only one guy is trying to pigeon hole why Branch allegedly isn't that good....

Well if you don't believe me just wait until the season. I'd be utterly shocked if he gets more than 5 sacks.
I'm done with this thread, but if he gets more than 5 sacks this year i'll come back and eat my words.

5 sacks? You'll probably be eating your words by late October.

Are you trolling? You do realize he's the 3rd string LEO right? Behind Clemmons and Babin? If he gets 5 then he really will have turned it around.

Babin? really?

Do you understand the career mileposts of either player? Babin will be lucky to make the final 53.

Why would Babin be lucky to make the final 53? He had a turn around very similar to Branch in the late part of last season and led the team in sacks. He isn't going anywhere.

You do realize Babin is 34, right?

Branch is 24.

This is truly funny stuff.  The irony here is thick, like the skull of the person posting it.

Nessacary.

And you're calling others idiots?

I'm not sure if his job is 100% secure, but the team felt they needed to bring him back as an insurance policy, and as long as he's able to produce, and to mentor the younger players, I doubt there's a huge sense of urgency from the front office to dump him.  The guy took a cut in salary to remain here.

Wise choice waiving the white flag.

Prepare to chow down.
