Yes, Davis had a total of one sack last year and he got it on a stunt against the Texans. That still doesn't show a lack of skill on Andres' part, in fact just the opposite.

Yeah Babin and Clemons will be ahead of him on the depth chart, but that doesn't prove him a scrub. It just means we will finally have some DEPTH. I know that for Jags fans that's a pretty hard concept to grasp, but just because someone might not be the starter it doesn't automatically render them useless, nor does it mean that they suck.

And the QB held onto the ball in that sack, and it wasn't a stunt that Davis was running, it was a straight speed rush. Meanwhile, Andre Branch was getting doubled. Same story on the third play.

You're right, his rank on the depth chart doesn't mean he sucks.. his terrible play over the course of 2 years does.

No kidding, because they didn't EARN their playing time because more skilled players like Andre Branch are more capable, hence why comparing Branch to a 3rd stringer is insane.

He's going to be a third stringer this season more than likely so it's not really.
Branch will most likely be a second stringer. Second string DE's still get quite a lot of playing time.

5 sacks in his last 7 games. It's pretty obvious that the light came on and that they were able to find ways to get him involved. Like I said that's on pace for 11.5 in a season, which hasn't happened in Jacksonville in about 10 years or so. He doesn't suck at all, he's got a lot of upside as evidenced by his improvement and he will be a nice part of their rotation at LEO.

Bro 5 sacks in 7 games doesn't matter when he was just benefitting from creative playcalling, he isn't good. You seem to miss the point i'm making entirely. He's not a special player, other plays could do his job and btw THEY WILL DO HIS JOB. We didn't sign Clemmons, Bryant and Babin back if they thought Branch was a game changing DE. They aren't stupid like FBT and you if you believe he's good.

We rotate guys in and out all the time. The only DE who exceeded his production in sack numbers last year was Babin. Nobody else despite the fact that according to your less than intellectual opinion, it's plug and play. Anyone could get those stats.
