Quote:Maybe I'll buy Vick. Josh McCown you could make an argument for I guess if you don't count his stats, but Taravis Jackon? Jason Cambell? Puleeze. Matt Cassel, for cryin' out loud? I needed a good laugh though, thanks!

And for what it's worth, Paul Kuharsky (who covers the Titans and formerly the entire AFC South) said this:

Chad Henne was one of the few veteran QBs who would have been an upgrade on Fitzpatrick. Off the market now. #Titans
Quote:I remember you being pretty firmly anti-Gabbert. You had quite a debate going about the mysterious "hitch" at the time, if I recall correctly.

Well I'll give you credit above for having some integrity.

Yes, 99% of my Gabbert posting of all time on this board has been anti-Gabbert. A few of my detractors like to try and paint that Aikman-Irvin post I made as me being a full fledged supporter of Gabbert but thats not the case. I always saw Blackmon as a star WR in this league, and if Gabbert remained QB, he would be by association part of that tandem. I got caught up in it briefly. But Gabbert quickly assured me that it wasn't to be as he just stunk as usual.

Quote:Boselli just said he wouldn't touch any of the QBs in this draft with the #3 pick on tonight's Jaguar radio show. He said that he feels the team needs to be developed more before using a premium pick on a QB.

Boselli gets it. Lageman sounds like he agrees.

They both sound like they want Henne back and having the rest of the roster built up before finding "the guy" to plug in behind center.

Can't agree more with those guys.

Interesting. Those 2 seemed to be pro QB before regarding this draft and now yesterday they say the above, and today the Jags sign Henne....

....no spin or PR going on here, is there???

IMO, what they are suggesting is the backwards way to build a team.

Quote:Couldnt disagree more. When you are picking high in the draft take a shot on a top QB prospect you believe in. Obviously if you dont think they can be "the guy" dont pick him, but once the roster is "built" you wont be able to get a chance at a top 2 QB in a draft because you will be picking too low.

Sounds like none of them have even watched extensive tape either.

This.

Quote:Lageman also said that Akin Ayodele was the "best pass rusher I've ever seen" at one point, lol.

Wow. Never knew that. Talk about losing some cred.

I have a hard time believing that Lageman said that. He is usually a pretty straight shooter.
