Great job on the stats
I just want to say one thing
Everyone besides bridgewater should be curved down a couple percentage point dude to the wide open spread offenses they ran.
Bridgewater was putting up stats in a pro style offense against tighter coverage and more exoctic defensesive schemes on top of the fact he bad autonomy on playcalling at the los
Clearly the best qb in the draft by several large universes
If he was 6'4 220, the texans would be finalizing the deal with his agent
Quote:I guess now all the haters have is "he decommitted from Miami" and "he dressed like a girl for a class project"....and in pirk's case add "he's black"
Pirk and I have certainly had our disagreements, but I will vouch for his color-blindness.
He was the most vocal advocate of RG III when he was coming out of Baylor, and strongly suggested that the Colts pick him first overall. Now that there have been a couple years of history, perhaps he has noted the drawbacks of having a slight frame in the NFL.
The major problem Bridgewater's critics - not "haters" - have of him is that he is small and has small hands. He's plenty tall, and plenty smart, and showed plenty of promise at his conference level. We have gone down that road before, and had to cut that guy in favor of a stronger, bigger-handed, larger framed QB that could stay on the field.
Forgive us if we seem a bit "reserved".

His hands are the same size as Jimmy Garapollo's.
Bigger than:
Aaron Murray's
Ryan Tannehill
Matt Scott
Chad Henne
Among others.

Anyone who advocates taking RG3 over Luck (no hind sight bias involved) is very ill informed and quite frankly stupid.
Luck was pro ready out of the gate, there was no taking RG3 over Luck argument for the Colts
His hand size is the same as Jimmy G's s pointed out above
Wasnt one of the big criticisms we heard from all the analysts about Jimmy Garap during Senior Bowl was the fact that he has tiny hands? So when defending Teddy, why are we saying he has the same size hands as Jimmy Garap as though that its a good thing? And doesnt Teddy where gloves in order to get better grip? So who cares about his hand size.
I still think his slight frame is a concern. Its one thing to put on pounds for the combine. Its another to keep on that weight during a full season. He still looks like a wispy thin WR masquerading as a QB. But aside from that, there isnt much not to like. Its just a matter of whether you believe in him enough to draft him top 5.

Gil Brandt said that Jimmy G's hands are a fine size. That's why.
(He also criticized Bridgewater's hand size)

well what is fine for a 4th rounder may not be fine for a top 5 franchise QB

Ryan Tannehill was a 1st rounder, and his hands are
smaller than Teddy's.

I don't understand the criticism about Teddy Bridgewater's hand size. They are over 9 inches. What is wrong with that?
My only concern about Teddy is he weighs 214 pounds.
Quote:Bridgewater, a three year starter at Louisville, came in bigger than a lot of people expected him to a 6'2" and 214 pounds. On Saturday, Bridgewater noted that he was playing at over 220 pounds in college, but between his sophomore and junior season he had oral surgery, which led to him dropping a lot of weight because his jaw needed to be broken for the surgery. He's working to put back on, having added nine pounds in the past month and a half.

The only problem I have with this explanation is that it took Bridgewater all last year and the college offseason to gain just a couple pounds?
Quote:Thanks for the link man the Vikings have a ton of press conferences on their site. Appreciate it.
Np, they have most of the prospect pressers up there
Bigger than expected? He was listed as 6-3 at Louisville and bulked up during his preparations for the combine. He is around the size I expected him to be.
Maybe his hands are bigger than expected because he wears gloves, I guess.
Teddy has played bigger than 215. He had jaw surgery and lost quite a bit of weight.
Quote:Teddy has played bigger than 215. He had jaw surgery and lost quite a bit of weight.
But he was listed as 196. Jaw surgery alone can't make a guy lose that much.

The man is ready
Thanks for the link.
There's no way they'll take a QB at #3, unless it's Bridgewater. He's the only QB worth a top 10 pick in my opinion. If he's there at #3, I really hope we take him.
The only question is if they'll rank one of the Defensive players (Clowney, Barr, Mack) ahead of him.
Quote:But he was listed as 196. Jaw surgery alone can't make a guy lose that much.
How do you know? Ever had jaw surgery?
Quote:How do you know? Ever had jaw surgery?
Because surgery is just to repair something, not make it 10 pounds heavier.
He is 6'2 and one tenth... not 6'3, not that size matters. Just saying, QB height is the most overrated thing, one of the most underrated things is the ability to contort your body and still deliver a throw (ala Randall Cunningham) and if you look in my sig Johnny does that well, so does Teddy for that matter. I believe we have a good QB class ahead of us!
