the NFL Network has to cover the combine and literally fabricate stories out of thin air.  It's what everyone does.

I saw the Combine, and I watched the QBs throw.  There was not a single "wow" moment that any of them provided us with.

Bortles showed that he can throw adequately.  He didn't show that he had a cannon or anything like that.  So him tossing the ball around didn't push him above Manziel or Bridgewater if teams had Manziel and Bridgewater ranked higher.

These guys go to the combine for the interviews and the medical checkups mostly.

Quote:No point in throwing without gloves if your going to be throwing with gloves during the game

Only if you're scared to show that you can't grip the football without them.

Hahaha who cares?! Let's make a hitter in baseball hit without gloves even when he likes hitting with gloves to see how he grips the bat! Just stupid...
His hands are over 9", which is what is termed "adequate" in NFL circles.

Teddy will be around 6'2" and 220 lbs as a pro which is decent.

He's the best QB because of his pocket passing skills, not his size.

When SIZE is your biggest strength, as is the case with Blake Bortles, then I'm not too interested.  He's not great at aything besides having prototypical size.

For me, my rankings are

1. Teddy

2. Manziel a close second

3. Bortles

You seem to care.  In fact, you sound scared to know the answer to the question.

Would you stop "doubting" his gripping abilities if he did throw at his pro day without gloves?

He's not a perfect prospect, but nobody is claiming he is.  He looks very good in the pocket, better than most QBs in recent years actually.

i play defensive end and i just dont feel comfortable playing unless i have my gloves.... so should i just play without my gloves to appease you and show you what its like without something that i would always have and be allowed to have anyway?

In your opinion.

If that's who he is, then he undoubtedly will be a Texan.

However, if they don't select him that tells the opposite tale.

No.. That is also just your opinion. See how that works?
Pirk your "argument" against Bridgewater is ridiculous, give it a rest lol

Who cares if he can't without him? Did the NFL ban wearing gloves? Dumb argument is dumb.
Next pirk will be whining about how he wears his chinstrap.....or that he drinks coke instead of Pepsi.....
Sorry to break your hearts ladies, but that's just my opinion.  You obviously care too much about Ted.  Keep standing by your man with the baseless attacks though.  It's cute.

lol

No one here is scared about what Bridgewater's throws without gloves look like, it's that no one here cares since he'll be wearing them.

Handwringing over whether a QB wears gloves or not is pretty "baseless"....pookie bear
So pirk who are your top QBs in this draft class?
Not saying pirk is this way, but there's some people whose answer to everything is "trade down"

Some people would just trade down forever and never actually pick a player

Then why do you guys flare up like hemorrhoids whenever it's brought up?

If it's no big deal, just a drop in a bucket... then there's certainly no harm in doing it.  And certainly not worth getting yourself wound up over.  You guys are getting worse than the Genosis crowd last year.  How dare anyone question your worship.  What should it matter to you?  If someone has a differing opinion, why not let them?  Why do you feel you need to jump to your mancrush's defense for something you deem so insignificant?

That's not the sign of someone 100% secure.

Not true at all and you know this.  How many times have we seen teams pass on a guy at one that turns out to be the superior player?  Often.  Just because a team passes on him at number one does not mean anything.  It could be for various reasons; current roster, scouting problems, plain old poor drafting, etc.

I don't always disagree with you and you catch a hard time sometimes but this statement is entirely bogus.
