Quote:That's a big difference in hand size.
It may be but it doesn't matter when Teddy's hands measured what they did. They're big enough. I've seen people make a big issue out of Teddy wearing a glove on his throwing hand because his "hands are too small"...why is that a big deal? 1. His hands aren't too small. 2. If he thinks wearing a glove will help him...why does it matter if he wears it? It works well for him and it's not like we're going to have a shortage of gloves at any point in his career and he'd have to throw without one.
The hand size thing was/is overblown with Manziel/Teddy. I wouldn't take Manziel in the first and certainly not at the top of the first.

Tom Brady wears a glove.
Big Ben wears a glove.

Yeah, I never got the nitpicking about him wearing gloves. As if there's some point in time where he won't be allowed to wear gloves. "He's hiding something by wearing a glove!" Reminds me of another Quarterback and how he wore his cap.

I guess now all the haters have is "he decommitted from Miami" and "he dressed like a girl for a class project"....and in pirk's case add "he's black"

I agree. For the life of me, I can't fathom why some people were bashing Teddy over things like wearing gloves. His hand size was enough of a legit concern without turning it into something else, as was his frame. However, he seems to have put those issues to rest. I'm now concerned about the Texans taking him at 1 or the Browns jumping us at 2.

Well they are both black. But yeah, parallels to Geno were pretty much ridiculous. Geno shrank in big moments while Teddy explodes in them.

Everyone is sound asleep on Bridgewater, no critiques about his game or mental make up, its come down to "hand size" and competition
In a couple years people will be wondering "how is dat Bridgewater fella dat good"
Well...

Teddy has a good not great arm. Good enough to make all of the throws, but not great. Probably similar to Henne level arm strength.

Is it me or does it seem that people are trying to find something to critize Bridgewater about? I mean first it was he was going to be 6'0. Then it was he was going to be 196 pounds, now it is his hand size? Well he is 6"2 and he weighs 214 pounds, his hands are .63 less than Manziels hands. I mean people are gushing over Manziels hands but they are not that much smaller than Manziels hands. I just don't get it!

On Teddy Bridgewater: “He’s got really good poise and very good decision making and very accurate – that’s what jumps out.”
We are getting Bridgewater if he is avail at 3

I'll trust Caldwell to evaluate the aspects of him that actually make a great QB and can't be seen on a measurement breakdown.

Quote:Okay I spoke too soon. He is 6'2 1/8 but that is still adequate size. He'll be slightly taller in cleats.
That is barely over 6-2. Even with cleats on he still won't be 6-3.

What's your point?
You were telling us that he was 6 1/2 feet tall.

This is good news. However, In the meantime until May, I'm not going to fall in love with any one player. Dave keeps saying that he won't reach for a QB and that he is looking to trade back for additional picks in this deep draft. I'll be happy with any of the top QBs, Clowney, Mack or Watkins. Hell, we could possibly trade way down to get multiple picks. It will be really interesting how this year's draft will play out. I have the feeling It will be the most interesting one in several years.
