Their success doesn't correlate to our success at all.

It's wishful thinking.

It's wishful thinking.
Exactly.

If we don't do our part, which means drafting the right players, staying healthy, winning the games we need to win, etc., we get nothing.
It's OK to be a little excited about the direction our defense is aiming toward.  That's about it.

The talent isn't on the roster here yet, but if Caldwell can find the right guys - Bradley will be able to get the Jaguars defense looking at least similar to Seattle's D. I'm excited about that possibility.

I don't get it.
It makes no sense.
Can you stop making pointless threads?

Their team has no correlation with the Jaguars. At all.

Say it again.

Please also say we won't find a franchise QB in the the 3rd round.

A huge advantage of finding a QB in the 3rd Round is he counts for peanuts on the salary cap.   Because of Russell Wilson's cap figure in 2013,   it gave the Seahawks flexibility to sign UFA DE's Cliff Avril and Michael Bennett,   players that are much more effective because they don't have to be used as much in a deep rotation.  This makes them much more effective as pass rushers.   Both players made a huge impact in the NFC playoffs.

Having said this,  with all of the mid round draft picks and excellent salary situation the Jaguars are in,  Dave Caldwell has the potential to build a very good roster.
good lord when is this crap going to end.

I'd rather be the Jacksonville Jaguars than a Seattle Seahawks clone.

You didnt have to respond in this thread.
Both Seattle and the 49ers were stacked before either coach got there. Carroll and Harbaugh didn't have to start with the dumpster fire that is the Jaguars.

Don't know if I agree with you here regarding Seattle.

Seattle finished 5-11 in 2009.

Pete Carroll arrived in 2010.

Since 2010, Seattle has added Russell Okung, Earl Thomas, Golden Tate, Walter Thurmond, EJ Wilson, Kam Chancellor, (all in 2010), John Moffit, KJ Wright, Richard Sherman (2011), Bruce Irvin, Bobby Wagner, Russell Wilson and JR Sweezy in 2012, and Cliff Avril, Michael Bennett and Percy Harvin this year.

That's quite a bit of talent since Carroll arrived.
Carroll's got no class, and his team is a reflection of that as he has no control of it. After Seattle got the game winning INT, you see Sherman and other idiot Seahawks running around doing the "choke" sign and acting ridiculous.

You don't see that stuff on a tight ship like the Belichick Patriots or Coughlin's Giants in a similar situation.

Excellent point!

Seattle hired a coach who fled the burning fire he created at USC.

Once Seattle hits the downside, he will do the same thing to them.

Truth ^^^
Gene Smith must be cringing when he watches the Seattle defense.  It's the exact opposite of what he was trying to create.

How about the post game interview with (I believe it was Sherman)....smh....

Just a reminder...it's a double flush for sore winners.

He leads a stable life. Great with kids. Treats women with total respect.

I'd be a lot more excited if we drafted a franchise QB in the 3rd round like Seattle
