This seems more and more like TPD protecting their quarterback, and it isn't going to work out in Winston's favor. She came out with the accusation when he was a true red shirt freshman, who had yet to see the field. Doesn't sound like money grabbing to me, at least.


Seems like she was encouraged by LEOs to not press charges, which should be a huge red flag for anyone who immediately takes Winston's side. Furthermore it seems TPD intentionally botched the handling of the case, seemingly to provide Winston with some cover.


More facts need to come out, but at is point it would seem as though the girl in question isn't making this whole thing up.

I hate to say it but Welcome to the BCS Championship Game Ohio State.   Urban Meyer will not get the vote which will surpass FSU in the polls.   I want FSU in but I can see it now PLUS Urbans past performance in BCS Championships will also help the OSU cause.

all programs try to make things go away.  I still think Jameis only mistake was to bang the chick prior to picking his gf up at the airport.   apparently the chick was not too happy about that.  there was no rape, just bad judgement.

As much as I want tOSU in the NC, I won't even pretend to be excited if its the rape case against Winston that gets them there. I'm only interested in justice and truth in this instance, whether Winston is guilty or not.

I agree .... that's not necessarily how you want to get in but a few of those voting cards are going to go the way of OSU and FSU is going to be left playing UCF in the Orange Bowl.

My opinion


The girl in purple? Thumbs down. Brown bag material.


The blonde chick? Ehh I prefer brunettes but she could get the business.

That being said, I'm a die hard FSU fan and IF Winston is found guilty, that man needs a good long sit in jail..

Man, for the girl's sake (and for Winston's) I hope this isn't true. But if it is, he needs to go to jail, unfortunately. We can't make athletes the exception to our most heinous crimes. Just a sad situation all around.

I'm not ready to hang the man out to dry, but it seems like you're trying to deflect blame.

 

Once an accusation of a possible crime has been made, the police department has the full responsibility for managing, and conducting a full thorough investigation.

 

The fact that there was a gap in DNA testing between the victim and Winston, shows that TPD did not manage proper oversight of the investigation regardless if the victim was cooperating or not. If there was not enough evidence to request a search warrant to submit DNA, why couldn't TPD just simply request Winston voluntarily submit a sample? Also, the status of this investigation changed from open inactive to open active demonstrated that TPD only took the accusation seriously once it became public.

 

IMO TPD did an injustice to BOTH the victim for causing pain and suffering by letting this linger and causing her to relocate, and to Winston by not having a conclusion to this case already. There have been sexual assault cases come before police departments before and have been handled more professionally. The damage is already done.

 

 

As a FSU alum and fan who proudly supports his alma-mater,Im not trying to hang anyone out to dry, nor deflect blame. No one here can do that, plus the only people who knew whether it was consensual or forced was the victim and Winston.
