Quote:Trump backing down on Muslim ban. That's a promising start.

Donald Trump changed his position on this issue several times.    Having said that,  the original statement from Dec. 2015 is back on Trump's Campaign Website:

Quote:Hmm is that a good ol Democratic stimulus plan he is speaking about?

Look at that he is more Democrat than the Democrats.

He also looks really chummy with Shumer. Very interesting indeed.

"Obama is a great man" - Donald Trump

Trump was a Democrat for years.

I mean I hate to say it, but I knew it wouldn't be the GOP supporters taking to the streets rioting if we lost.
This is ridiculous.   I didn't vote for Trump.  But I'm not endorsing even a peaceful demonstration, much less a riot over it.

We had an election!   Trump won!   There's another election coming.   Get to work on winning that one!

These protestors disgust me.   And I didn't vote for Trump.
Paid protesters...  Trump's already creating jobs.  Smile

Hehehe.

Bet he loves the electoral college NOW.

Edit:  and protesters, go the hell home already.  All you're doing is putting bullets in Donald's gun.

Protests only work if human rights have been violated. Protesting for not getting your way is just crying.
Typical Donald, followed by untypical Donald.

I'm starting to think this guy just needs to learn to think first, tweet later:

Donald follows divisive tweet with uniting one.

President elect Donald is completely different than running for office Donald so far.

I'm hoping that the persona he put on in the campaign was a big a lie as the birther movement.  Last night's tweet made my eyes roll, and to see this in the morning is a nice surprise.  The campaign is over, you won, time to start acting big, not small.

You do realize Hillary's campaign started the birther movement, don't you?

Talk about divisive... looks like you're holding strong.

Pirk, I'm not going further back into the birther movement argument, because it was an incredible waste of time that did not change a single vote.  Believe what you want.  I included it as an example of lie, and there were so many that I can choose another for you.  I just praised Donald for acting BIG instead of small, so, for me being divisive, how can you read what I just wrote praising Donald's tweet and say that?

I think we're all mature enough to be aware of "campaign lies" on both sides throughout history.  I think we can also agree any "promise" made before election should be taken with a grain of salt.

So, when compliments are made in a back-handed way it doesn't necessarily make a compliment sound genuine.  If you didn't want anyone to be skeptical of your sincerity, I wouldn't have included the barb.  Just sayin'.  We can continue the pre-election rhetoric or move on.

It's a very small portion (< 1%) of population acting this way.  However, they get the most media coverage, forming a narrative that for the most part isnt true.

That's today's political climate.  The networks are what the "National Enquirer" magazine was - fringe, alarmist, and sensationalist.

They are generating an alternate reality (along with the likes of Twitter, etc.) that people are actually believing and dedicating their life's efforts to.

Agreed.

Only shared because I love me some hypocrisy.
