Patriots? Never heard of ‘em. They any good?

Two of the better teams they did play (KC and CAR) they lost to.

This isn't the 2007 Patriots.  This team is definitely beatable and the Jaguars 100% have the potential to beat them this week.

Jax's was 30th in the league in terms of strength.
There are 32 teams in the league.

At one point, NE had this:

@ Denver
vs Oakland but in Mexico City
@ Miami
@ Pitt

Show us a similar challenging stretch for Jax:
Denver was absolute trash this year. Their D wasn't even that good.
Oakland was trash.
Miami, hot garbage, and you lost.
Pitt.... when we beat em, they weren't that good and you guys always own them... but now its OK to use their game as some measuring stick?

What a stretch...
I wouldn't ever argue the Jags had a tough schedule.
Hell... I wouldn't even argue the Jags have the better team.

I'm content just calling you guys Tom Turrific bandwagoners, and telling you guys to piss off and our D is gonna eat your precious QB alive.

Good day sir.

It is not my intent to, in any way, assail your character with the following:  I find it very difficult to believe you are a football fan-a Pats fan at that-with zero opinion on what will transpire in the AFCCG.

I'm 73 years old. I've watched two dynasties here. The Celtics and the Patriots. Nothing takes away from a game more then watching it with some preconceived notion. I'm never confident, or unconfident. I just soak the game in, and love every minute of it. I learned that watching the Celtics.
73 years old hanging out on message boards?

Man... I hope my life turns out better than that.

I just glimpsed my future...  I may cry.
I read today on the Jaguars.com front page that in 2007, Coughlin lined up 4 defensive ends on the defensive line and invited the Pats to run the ball. That's interesting.

http://www.jaguars.com/news/article-Jagu...73f5c1ab82

"The Giants in 2007 said, ‘If you want to run it, run it. We’re going to invite you to run it.’ They put four defensive ends on the field. They put their arms up. Brady said it was like trying to throw through the trees of the forest. Being able to get to him with four rushers fast, drop seven – that’s the schematic aspect of it."

So, maybe we just line up with the defensive line that plays on obvious passing downs- Ngakoue, Campbell, Jackson, and Fowler. That's 3 DEs and 1 3-technique DT. And behind that, we play as usual: on 1st down- 3 linebackers, and on passing downs- nickel package.

Oh, man, that is cold.  What the heck does being 73 have to do with anything?  And besides, what is he supposed to be doing right now, playing golf?  It's probably about 5 degrees where he is.

At 73? IDK what I'll be doing when I'm 73... but it surely won't be  hanging around message boards and comments section of web pages.
Every year I get a lil older I step a lil further away from social medias and volatile, angry, negative spaces.
When I turned 30 I got rid of Facebook and traded it in for a Linkedin.
I removed all twitter space nonsense aside from sports reporters.

Granted... there might not be much to do when you're 73... but bantering back and forth with (likely) a bunch of millenials seems like a waste of your final days lol
Kudos to him for having the energy to deal with the nonsense that goes on in these forums...
At a young age of 33 I can barely stand most of the posters on here and even fewer "youngsters" in real life.

He's 73.  Probably retired.   It's probably about 5 degrees outside where he is.

YOU, on the other hand, are 33 years old.   Are you posting from work?
After seeing the backlash from Kane’s post, I gotta say I’m torn. I was kinda thinking the same thing, tbh. But I didn’t say anything. But I said that, so maybe that now constitutes as me also saying it. Oh geez. Idk if I’m a good person or bad person now.

I think it is kinda sad to be ‘mature’ and visiting opponents MB’s. But at 73? Hell yeah man. Get it. Most people I know that are up there in that age don’t even have an email or refuse to text. If he was 60 I say game on. But at 73, welcome to the board.

Heck, he may even be one of the very first minute men. I’m not messing with a bad [BLEEP] like that. Ok, I’m done. No more old jokes. I can behave.

I usually post from work. When I'm in the office. Sometimes I post from home.
It isn't about being at work or whatever. My comment was solely based on the fact that A) I don't know many 70+ year old people who know how the internet works properly, 2) The idea that a 70 something grown [BLEEP] man would spend time on message boards is odd to me. Perhaps there are elderly people everywhere I don't know about engaging in these types of forums all over. C) When I'M that old, which is what my comment was about, I sure hope I have better things to do than hang out with all you turds.
It really wasn't meant to demean someone for BEING old (something no one can escape lol) it was meant to be a funny jab (cold, dark, dry, I like all sorts of humor) at someone who should be watching Murder She Wrote and Perry Mason,  instead of hanging out on the internet with a bunch of folks half his age or younger.

I'm sorry if I ruffled some old feathers.
But I'm really not sorry.

You're aware we have a political section if you wanna discuss Trump things, right?

Also... I don't really approve of his tweeting or the ridiculous banter he engages in on Twitter and that is a separate issue from agreeing with his policies.
But what someone says usually doesn't stir me as much as it does many of the people on here. I don't get offended when people say things or do things I think are stupid.

Offended about what?
Some dude being 73?
Or a handful of Patriot fans talking smack like they ain't never "been there before"?

What am I acting so stirred and offended about, Chowder?
I think it would be best to just discuss the game.

So back to the Patriots losing.....
