Quote:We get it. Bortles led the NFL with 72 passes last year of more than 20 yards because HIS WRs bailed him out but NOW you blame Bortles season on Bortles instead of the non open, 16 drop WR tandem. Makes sense. I guess you can have it both ways when you're used to a 22% winning franchise.

Robinson has had one bad game in 2016.

Bortles has had five.

I'm talking about this season.  Those 72 deep passes mean nothing right now.  Ketchup. The problem is how the kid is playing right now. Not how he was able to sling it up for grabs 72 times last year when he was already down 2 TDs in the second quarter half of the time.

Robinson has had many bad games. He leads the NFL with 6 drops. He gets the worst separation of a #1 WR in the league. Go check PFF. I don't know what game you're watching but A Rob looks like MSW or Ernest Wilford this year.
Spacecoastjag, how come last season Bortles had a compact throwing motion and this year it looks like he is winding up below his belt?

I'm genuinely asking you not to say that is on coaching. Like he has to have a coach in his ear saying " high and tight" before each play.

That's on Bortles, not on coaching.

I already told you....COACHING. Throwing motion isn't on coaching? Have you ever played football? Why does Hackett even have a job as a QB coach then? Why even pay him? What is Hackett there for? Girlfriend problems?!

It's an inept staff that lets players get thrown out of games and 14 penalties for 123 yards. It's not rocket science- the inmates run the asylum!

He had three in one game. So exactly like I said, he's had one bad game.  The other three were spread out.

Your little myth about separation is hilarious.

I'm done. There's no help for you.

I can't name another #1 WR in the NFL with worst separation skills than Allen Robinson. Maybe Robert Woods in Buffalo but that's only because Sammy Watkins is hurt.

Many scouts thought A Rob was a possession WR coming out of college. That's why he fell in the draft. Again, these are scouts points of view. This year, A Rob has been very bad.

So the coaches make his throwing motion long?

How do you know they aren't coaching him to throw better? What if they addressing it but he can't help it?

Then what?

NFL.com Allen Robinson scouting report....

BOTTOM LINE The Big Ten's leading receiver the last two seasons, Robinson is a big, fluid, outside receiver with a nice combination of "above-the-rim" prowess and run-after-catch ability. Offers possession skills, playmaking ability and red-zone utility to develop into a solid No. 2 option.

It's quite possible A Rob is a #2 and not a #1. He lacks speed and separation. It's a fact.

I don't have ANY trust in a (14-40) coaching staff. Bortles was VERY good last year- quite possibly the 2nd best age 23 season in NFL history for a QB. Once again, what has THIS COACHING staff done that's good? It's a defensive head coach who in YEAR 4, still has a #26 ranked scoring defense.

I mean come on. It's common sense.

He was a pro bowl WR last year....in a pass happy league, that means he was border line elite.

Robinson isn't the problem.

I will agree with you on this, but can you answer my question?

What IF they are addressing his throwing motion and Bortles is still throwing like that?

Robinson isn't the problem.

Lol I never said he's THE problem. I said he's A problem. If Bortles stats all came in "garbage time" last year, didn't A Rob stats all come in "garbage time" last year.?! The answer is yes.

A Rob looks like a #2 WR this year. Not a #1. I'm just showing you what his scouting report shows.

It's a young QB. It takes time. But what about the play calling? You can't tell me the play calling has been good this year.....

No one in Jacksonville has any hope for this coaching staff yet Gus must have some pictures of Khans wife. It makes no sense how a (14-40) head coach is still employed

Scouting report on Allen Robinson coming out of college....

Weaknesses:

Lacks deep speed

Can he separate from press man by big NFL corners?

Not overly fast or quick

Could be just a possession receiver

Not fast enough to stretch a defense vertically

Aren't we seeing this this year? I would say yes.
You can't be this dumb...
LOL

College scouting reports.

I've never seen anyone miss the point so badly on this MB.

I give up. I just can't waste time with this level of idiocy.

They aren't college scouting reports. They are pro scouting reports. Again, you're wrong.

The thing with A Rob is he tries to play like a speed WR like TY Hilton and DeAndre Hopkins without the speed or quickness. He needs to use his strength at the line of scrimmage to destroy corners the way Brandon Marshall does. Marshall is a hall of famer not because of his quickness but because he blows corners off the line and is an elite route runner. Marshall will go down as a top 15 NFL receptions guy in NFL history.

A Rob can be the same type of WR Marshall is if he learns to play more physical. He hasn't so far. He's a finesse guy stuck in a big body type.

This is what scouts are saying. Again, I'm sorry you don't know any scouts.

Pretty sure the deep threat thing went out the window when AR lead the league last year in receptions 20 yards or more and tied the league in TDs with BMarsh and Baldwin.

Your still not answering my question. What if the coaches are addressing his throwing motion but it's not doing any good?
