Quote:They aren't college scouting reports. They are pro scouting reports. Again, you're wrong.

You quoted two COLLEGE scouting reports in this thread.

i can't .... it's ...... just... so much stupid.
^ Lol

I tried last year NYC.

Impossible, or should I say "inept".

He's just waiting this season for Bortles to have a good game but the defense look terrible so he can come in here and gloat "Bortles can never win with a Pus-led defense of ranked PPG."

He's got it loaded just waiting. Trouble is, so far the defense has looked good for the most part, but his boy BB has been a major disappointment. You know it's killing him.
Quote:It's sad that we could've got Sammy Watkins or Khalil Mack and then Carr in round 2

Carr was picked before our second round pick.

Jaguars scoring defense is 26th. It represents a (2-4) team, as it should.

Lol.

Yup, it has NOTHING to do with an offense that continually stalls drives, commits turnovers, and keeps the defense on the field for the majority of the game. That doesn't hurt the defense at all, does it space?

Hahaha hahaha

For the 3rd qtr and into the 4th, the Raiders did absolutely squat on offense. It didn't matter though. The Jags offense did even less, and the defense finally gave out.

It really doesn't. Osweiler is throwing for about 60 yards less per game but his defense and coach dominate. Bortles has neither.

Brock Osweiler - 8 TD, 8 INT - Texans are (4-3) playoff team with a 14th ranked scoring defense

Blake Bortles- 9 TD, 9 INT- Jaguars are (2-4) non playoff team with a 26th ranked scoring defense

Gus Bradley is a defensive coach who's never had higher than a 26th ranked scoring defense in 4 years. 26th ranked scoring defenses NEVER make the playoffs. See Peyton last year- 9 TD and 17 INT with #1 scoring defense. See Cam Newton last year vs this year?

You people never get it. The QB is important but not THAT important. Not when it comes to the playoffs vs non playoffs.

The Jags haven't had a good defense since Jack Del Rio left and you wonder why you're a 22% winning franchise.
Quote:Your still not answering my question. What if the coaches are addressing his throwing motion but it's not doing any good?

Then what?
Who mentioned anything about Osweiler? I didnt. I can only comment on what I've seen all year from Jax.

The defense has played well in 5 of 6 games this year. They played Really well in 3 of 6 games.

The defense played a Very good game against the Ravens. They continually held Baltimore to FGs or less. They held Baltimore to 6 points in the 2nd half (3 of those points were given up when Bortles' fumble gave the Ravens the ball inside of FG range. They created 3 turnovers in Ravens territory in the 4th qtr.

But,,,, the Jags lost. Offense sucked. You know it, but will never acknowledge it.

Name a 26th ranked scoring defense that's EVER made the playoffs. Until you do, there is no reason debating you. It's never happened.
Spacecoastjag, can you answer my question.

I answered that multiple times. Read back

What happened in the Baltimore game?

Huh?

Plus,

does an offense's ineptitude have ANY effect on the play of the defense or the outcome of a singular game?

You know the answers. But, you won't answer them..

I read everything just now.

My question was what if they are addressing his throwing motion yet Bortles is still struggling with it.

Your answer was....I don't trust a 14-40 coach.

But honestly without trying to argue back and forth....that don't answer the question. You revert back to his coaching record. But what if Bortles simply can't correct his mechanics?

Intelligent people don't look at individual games. They look at yearly numbers. There hasn't been a 26th scoring defense make the playoffs in the NFL in over 25 years. That's a fact. You can nit pick anything you want but Gus Bradley has failed

Double Post, but once again, Shut up.

Quote:You people keep talking about Bortles as if he's a savior on the worst team in the NFL. Has he played great this year? No, he hasn't.

But the Jags are an awful team; let's be honest.

Bortles has 9 TDs and 9 INT this year. Peyton Manning won the Super Bowl last year with 9 TD and 17 INT. Joe Flacco won a Super Bowl on a great team as well with bad stats.

The Jags lose because:

1) The Jags lead the NFL in penalties

2) The Jags lead the NFL in dropped passes; last year 2nd in NFL

3) The Jags have the #31 running game in the NFL

4) The Jags scoring defense is #26, just up from #31 last year

A lot of people want to jump down Bortles throat and that's fine, it's just wrong.

There has NEVER been a playoff team that has a #31 running game and a #26 scoring defense. You want to prove me wrong? PROVE IT. WITH STATS..........

Bortles has plenty of talent- 35 TDs and 4400 yards (people say garbage time but Aaron Rodgers has only done that ONCE in his life).

Bortles isn't the problem. The coaching staff is the worst in the NFL and the supporting cast is dreadful.

Again, you'll just respond to this with ZERO stats and ZERO facts but people like you expecting a playoff team with a #31 running game and a #26 scoring defense are senseless.

FYI to educate you- Dak Prescott will be rookie of the year this year because he has the #1 running game in the NFL, #1 o line, and #7 scoring defense.

The Jags fans expect the Jags to make the playoffs when the Jags do NOTHING well. NOTHING. But it's all Bortles fault.

It starts at the top and Khan and Gus Bradley have been awful.

The whole organization sucks, but Bortles is the main culprit right now (that plays), ol Gus is still leading the pack by miles of candy coated sprinkles.

Ps: shut up

Shut up? Wow big man on the keyboard loses arguments based on statistics and turns into a baby.

Look, the people on this message board are acting like if Bortles played like he did last year, this would be a playoff team. That's just not true. Even with a 35 TD Bortles, this is a (5-11) or (6-10) team with a #26 scoring defense, lead NFL in penalties. It's not a good team because it's not well coached.

Bortles is on pace for 24 TDs this year. Still higher than Gabbert, Leftwich, Brunell, or Garrard have EVER thrown. But you think you can go draft a slot WR like Lamar Jackson and he will be better.

Until you get a real head coach and a real defense that actually holds opponents for 17-22 ppg and not 26-30 ppg the past 8 years, you don't have a chance of EVER winning whether Bortles, Andrew Luck, or Cam Newton is the QB. It doesn't matter

zero head coach + zero defense = zero wins.
I just read on NFL.com Brock Osweiler is the worst of 34 passers rated on PFF. That makes me wonder where other posters got information about Blake Bortles being the worst QB in the NFL this season.
