Money coming in is slowing or dropping, so they see this as a way to stop that.
I'm assuming you're agreeing with me since the bolded bits say the same thing.
Right now there is no clear path to even locate a team in London permanently - much less sustaining one there for any period of time. So - if it's all about the money - the only way forward at this time is to add a few more games to the international series. There are clearly other small market owners willing to move a home game there to cash in the way Khan has the past few years.
I'd wager a benji right now that in 2022 this board will be concerned with their favorite new bars in downtown Jacksonville near the stadium and who will replace Yannick Ngakoue. Not fretting over the team moving to London or anywhere else.
I think they will increase the games played there and then use the attendance to say having a team there will make even more money.
If the next CBA goes by without a team moving, then I think it would be good news for the Jags.
Wembley isn't new, so repairs need to be made. The other projects in Jacksonville hopefully will be done/in progress. So that would be a lot of money to then move later.

The construction of this bridge showed that Julius Caesar, and Rome, could go anywhere, if only for a few days. Since he had over 40,000 soldiers at his disposal, they built the first bridge in only 10 days using local lumber.

Well, whatta you know? I live in Orlando and that is the first I have heard of this large Cuban population that would make such a huge difference in TV ratings for the Dolphins. Oh and honestly, I think there are more freaking Steeler fans here than Dolphins.
What a garbage article.
What if the NFL plays 8 games per year in London with 16 teams going one year, the other 16 the next year and they alternate who has to give up the home game in the US to be the home team there. Each NFL team, including the Jags, would then play in London once every 2 years and give up a home game once every 4 years in a regular rotation.
Shad Khan's giving up the lucrative London game 3 out of 4 years would be offset by the fact that he would own Wembley Stadium and reap the benefits of the NFL coming there 8 times a year.
Does khan really refer to his team as the London Jaguars based in jacksonville? Been seeing that alot

I’m sure those words have never passed Shad Khan’s lips. A previous post outlines the misguided, and blatantly false, hype about the Jags moving out west. This is just another meme generated by sports bloggers trying to find something, anything, to write about.
Maybe the NFL is thinking much bigger. Maybe they are trying to do more international games with the hope to not expand the NFL but perhaps creating a whole new league. Maybe putting a team in London but having that team be part of some other league that will play games against other European countries. Maybe having some big game against the American NFL vs the new league. I think there is already football internationally but is it run under 1 commissioner?

Living in the Orlando area as well, I can agree with you. Steeler fans are all over as well as Giants fans.
The NFL wants a team in London.
London wants an NFL team.
It will happen, and we should recognize that this cannot be accomplished without a certain amount of deception.
The NFL has talked about the London team having an American HQ on the US east coast and possibly playing one or more home games there. In that scenario, Jacksonville would "keep" the Jaguars but only for Training Camp and maybe 1 home game per season.
I still don't understand the logistics of how it will work though across the pond with a permanent team there. Asking teams to fly across the pond to play every week and asking a home team from London to do the same when it comes to away games just doesn't add up in the long run for me. And they can try to grow American Football over there all they want. It'll always be a soccer city or country no matter how hard they try.
And I'll be the first one to say it. If Khan moves the Jaguars permanently to London. I am officially washing my hands clean of the NFL and I will no longer support it at any capacity. I am sure they don't really care and it won't really hurt them financially since we're still considered a small market. But for me I just can't keep supporting something like that if it occurs.

Revive NFL Europe?
I’m not sure anyone would want to go there again.
Although there is a lot of support for the sport in Germany I understand, so maybe there could be a “European division” one day in the very far future.
I’m a little surprised the NFL hasn’t tried staging a game in Germany already...
Logistic problems are really the only thing holding the NFL back. If there was a Concorde transatlantic service, that could simplify things. Bottom line, still many years away.

Same here. I have begun to feel this way about franchise moves as well. Take San Diego, for instance, the city wouldn't be held hostage for a new stadium so off they go to LA. The Chargers had been in San Diego since AFL Day 1 in 1960, their fans didn't deserve that.
Buffalo fans don't deserve what they are hearing too.

Personally, I think Mexico City would be the perfect location for a new franchise.
For anyone who hasn't been there, it's incredibly progressive and really has mix of NY, Chicago, DC, and LA.
