Even if the Jags move it wont effect 90% of you. Lots of people dont even attend the games. You watch on tv.

This is bull crap. Just because we don't go to games, doesn't mean it won't effect us. It would effect me because I would no longer be a Jag fan and I would stop watching the NFL.

Precisely my sentiments.

My friend that was a insensitive and irresponsible statement coming from you. Although I've been going to games since 1997 and is currently a season ticket holder but who are you to question somebody's fandom especially if they don't have the money or the ability to attend NFL games.
It might make sense to have the financial HQ in Florida. Certainly the scouting department should be in the US. Most of the offseason activities would have to be here. I assume most players and coaches would want to live here. So even with a permanent London team, the London "home" games would still essentially be away games. They would play 2 or 3 games on each continent before switching. It would actually be toughest on their division rivals, who will have to travel to London every season.

No it wasn't. It is the truth.

I'm not questioning anything. Stating facts.

I've been as fan since 1995 and am in another country, I couldn't afford to come to EverBank until 2012 and had to watch on TV. I don't think I was any less of a fan between 1995 and December 2012 or any less because I only see my team 1 time a year since then.

That's extremely short sighted.

The impact of the Jags on the city of Jacksonville extends beyond the 9 games that they play at home.  It impacts the economy, local sports talk radio, and many other aspects around North Florida.

When I moved down here in 1993, Jacksonville was compared to Birmingham and Charleston.  Both of those cities are still lackluster dumps whereas Jacksonville has progressed significantly and the Jaguars are a key factors of our revitalized city.

Charleston still has it's issues, but it's on the way up, actually.  Their tourist district and downtown are thriving - with real estate figures rivaling many major cities. And the Citadel campus and curriculum are both expanding through hundreds of millions of dollars in private donations.

To your point, the Jags bring a lot to Jax and losing them would be very bad for a downtown revitalization that has  only just begun to finally take a foothold and grow.

You know that's right and it goes back even farther than Eazy-E and 92.7 because Billy rankins and the Cool Runnings crew invented it in 91 during his mixtape circuit when he was selling cassette tapes at the block parties. LOL

I had to laugh. Your right about that.

Just wanna let you guys know Im not questioning your fan hood. Just saying it wont affect you. Yes it will effect the city and economy.

But some will still do what they have done for 25 years.
watch it on tv.
After the first page this thread was going in the right direction with all of the khan references... great potential was squashed.

If we do eventually move, I think that would kill the NFL for me. I wouldn't feel the same rooting for a London team or international team. The Jags has been my staple for the majority of my life. I truly hope they don't move. But in the end, money talks.....

Your statement is contradictory.  We, the general population of Jacksonville, are directly impacted by the city & economy.
