Yeah the only thing is, Blake has a long, odd windup. Brady doesn't, hell most QBs don't. I don't know why we've had 2 here recently and fans clamored for a 3rd in between Lefty and BB5 for a while(I wouldn't worry about that, still). Long windups lead to poor timing, batted balls, and interceptions(even pick 6s). Blake is probably near the top if not at the top in both int and batted passes since he was drafted. It'd be one thing if his turnovers were way down field, but a lot of his come from poorly placed balls getting batted or bouncing off his own guys and right into a defender.

Look at Philip Rivers here. Odd wind up, and has more pick sixes than Blake since BB was drafted

I’m still mad Bortles isn’t Tom Brady or Drew Brees or Peyton Manning! We should play Kessler!

You are all over the place.
Bortles is in his 5th year. He just had a 5 turnover game where he threw 2 picks in the redzone and one bounced off Canns helmet. No one is saying he needs to be a hall of famer but how about some consistency in year 5? He's the biggest roller coaster QB in the league and it's not even close. I don't want Kessler but these highs and lows are exhausting.

The 2003 season opener shutout Buffalo win over New England is the # 1 overaction NFL game I can ever recall. Especially, when factoring in S Lawyer Milloy ( who was a Patriots salary cap causality in early September) having a major impact over his former team.

Also funny that they opened the season with a 31-0 loss to Buffalo and then ended the season with a 31-0 win over Buffalo.

Brady's rate+ stats did wind up being above average in every single category that year too, to be fair.

Still a lot of year left, dont count out Blake yet.

Sure. He asked for a horrendous game though, and I found one pretty easily. There are actually quite a few stinkers like that throughout Brady's career. Which is fine, no one can play perfect every week, even Brady.
Not saying Blake is Brady at all. Just showing even the best have some abysmal games.
Peyton had a 6 INT game. Brees, Ryan, Ben, Eli, Stafford, Wilson, Flacco have all had 5 INT games.

I think the problem isn't the stinker game, it's the frequency in which he has them. When every 4th or 5th game is in the gutter it's hard to have confidence in a SB run from the offense.

I’d be stoked if it were only “every fifth game.”

I think it's more the stinker decisions almost every Sunday, which tend to be overlooked/excused when we win. Sure, he's got a long windup and isn't very accurate, but the biggest problem isn't his arm, it's his head. It seems like he just can't get through a game without making a couple of very poor decisions about what to do with the ball.
Kessler sucks. The only start he will get is if and when the starter in front of him is injured.

Rivers side arm style has been no barrier to success for him. He has great accuracy and a quick release. Not comparable to Blake's at all.

Hasn't been a barrier to success. But he's consistently thrown a lot of INTs. He's had 2 seasons with 20+
He's just good enough to overcome them most times.

No I don't think anyone would say mechanics have been a barrier to HOFer caliber QB Philip Rivers.
His mechanics aren't bad btw, just different to what you regularly see. His picks aren't because he gets the ball out slow or struggles throwing the ball, more so because he's pretty aggressive and isn't careful with the ball like let's say Alex Smith.
Big reason why Rivers is so good is his quick side arm release. That's the total opposite with Blake.

What I would say about Rivers' mechanics is that they have been speculated as the reason for why he starts off gangbusters and then falls off later in the year almost every year. Those wonky mechanics might wear out his shoulder more than others.

He's been a QB for about 15 years now.
Shoulder is just fine.
This option is looking better.
