This idiot says he sucks and now our entire fan base freaks out. I already had doubts about him, but lets not overreact and act like we have been blind for so long.
Quote:I still can't believe he only has 3 1st quarter TDs. That's really bad.
Quote:It really is freaking insulting to call it an experiment to begin with.Totally agree 2 bad games this year and we should burn him at the stake.
What a jerk.
This isn't Matt Jones.
Who writes off a young QB this early? Should Mariota be written off because he's had a rough start?
Do the chargers regret writing off Brees and going with Rivers when Brees struggled early on?
Is he looking like a young Eli out there? Kinda....
It happens. This is just ridiculous, insulting, and a tad offensive. If he'd have had 3 seasons of no success, that's one thing.
Quote:Totally agree 2 bad games this year and we should burn him at the steak.
Quote:Rib eye or filet?I prefer the ribs. (Stupid auto correct on my phone)
Quote:1 month ago...Nobody realized he didn't put in any work in the offseason
We got our Franchise Quarterback.
3 weeks into the season....
Bust, experiment over, trade for Jimmy G.
[BAD WORD REMOVED] clowns.

I already had doubts about him, but lets not overreact and act like we have been blind for so long.I don't think anyone has said to give up on Blake. The cold hard truth he has looked really bad this season. He can turn it around but what if he doesn't? I think we have no running game because teams aren't respecting the pass.
Quote:Nobody realized he didn't put in any work in the offseason
Quote:We also didn't think Olsen would do the opposite of what worked last year.
Next year's QB draft class is meh. I say fire Gus and get an offensive minded coach in here and if bortles still sucks then draft some one the year after.
Quote:Perspective:
Yes, last year Blake posted good numbers.
But this 2nd in TDs and 7th in yardage needs some perspective.
2015, only 17 QBs started all 16 games. Of those 17 QBs, 3 more left a game early due to an injury.
14 QBs played all season.
Of those 17 that at least started each week, 13 threw at least 29 TDs or more.
I know Carr and Fitzpatrick got injured and pulled early in at least one of their games.
1. Brady 36
(2) Newton 35
(2) E. Manning 35
(2) Palmer 35
(2) Bortles 35
3. Wilson 34
(4) Brees 32
(4) Carr 32
(4) Stafford 32
5. Fitzpatrick 31
5. Rodgers 31
(6) Rivers 29
(6) Cousins 29
Bortles had a good year last year, yes. However, pretty much every QB that played all season got around 30-35 TDs.
All this "elite" numbers talk about BB last season just isn't accurate IMO.
Bortles played as well as EVERY QB that stayed healthy last year (not much better; not much worse).
Quote:Olsen isn't an idiot. We're not throwing deep like last year because defenses have adjusted accordingly.
They are forcing Blake to do things that aren't comfortable for him. It's not as simple as calling plays like last year.
Quote:Bortles will not improve with this coaching staff period. The longer it takes the harder it will be for him.

Quote:This is my assumption as well. He's still a bag full of skills, but Gus and gang isn't bringin it out of him. Dude is still green in his 3rd season
Quote:You don't want to hurt your players by firing Gus, it'll make them sad.
