I want an XWR, an additional TE, and one more OL piece as much as the next guy, but I'm excited for this defense.

Me too.

Listening to/reading the various talking heads, the Lloyd and Muma picks aren't being trashed for value.  Everyone says they are good value.  The people who are criticising the picks have other reasons for doing so.  One guy said the Muma pick wasn't necessary becaus the FO drafted Lloyd and signed Oluakun in free agency.

Meanwhile, I can't wait to see the various personnel groupings and blitz packages the defense will offer.

Everybody constantly complains about this team lacking talent overall. We now add that talent and people are upset about it. Add the top talent regardless of the position and let the coaches figure out what to do with them. That's what the good teams do.

Fit the scheme around the talent, don't try and force players into a scheme. This team has stayed trying to force players into certain schemes and its constantly bit us in the [BLEEP] time and time again.
Complain about the draft all you want tho, I'm hella excited for Devin Lloyd. Watching his play, and that extremely sad story of him losing his teammates and then rallying that Utah team to it's first ever Pac-12 Championship, beating some team for the first time in 100+ years.. dude did it all, coverage, sacks everything.. dude has best player in the draft ability..

Devin Lloyd will probably be the biggest difference maker out of this draft.

Truthfully the most critical fans are the most invested. If you watch hot garbage and don't call it out, you probably don't care much. He obviously cares as do I. Jaguar football is one of my favorite things to keep up with.. even if it's mostly depressing during the actual games lol.
Defense wins championships. We play in a division with Henry and a physical Colts team. As Baalke said all it takes is one injury and we are in trouble.

Insane you guys are complaining we got a leader and great value pick with Lloyd and 27th overall and then get a steal in round 3 with Muma.

The steelers seem to draft a lb in the first round almost every year and they are always competive. Playing a 3-4 we need tons of linebackers.

I for one have zero hate for them sticking to their value board.

Yea ik the feeling all to well lol

It is nice tho you can sense that change is happening in the jags, excited to see what doug can do with the chess pieces he aquired this draft

Looking forward to our first practice/trial match to see walker, lloyd and trevor in action

Hoping etienne has a standout year

I believe this was a good draft. I understand defense comes first.

Fun Fact! Walker has less than half the snaps played than Hutchinson.

Lloyd is the player I'm most excited for. Living up here in Washington State, I got to see him play a good amount in the Pac 12. Oregon was the favorite to take the Pac 12 this past year and Utah absolutely dumpstered them.

Oregon was ranked #3 in the country when Utah smashed them 38-7 on November 20th. Utah then again smashed them 38-10, 2 weeks later in the rematch on Dec 3rd for the Pac 12 Championship. Lloyd was a big factor in both games. They absolutely beat Oregon up. Oregon had no answer. Completely bullied them in both games.

Doug Pederson was the coach I wanted here when we got him it made me feel like we're headed in the right direction. I'm not super hopeful for this coming season but I think we might be building something for the near future.

While you're not wrong, there comes a point with age that you have to realize that you can't get too upset about something you literally have zero control of.

I wouldn't nesacarily say I have been upset lately in a literal sense over anything football related. Dissapointed would be more appropriate.

Exactly. The insanity on this board were screaming for Leftwich and I knew picking a rookie head coach was all wrong to reset this team

I was on the Pederson/ Jim Caldwell bandwagon day one.  I love the steps Pederson has done to put this team on the right track. Foles got the superbowl mvp but the eagles defense shutting Brady down late in that game was the unsung hero. I understand the focus on defense. Rome wasn't built in a day so everything cannot be fixed this season. Take the highest value players instead of forcing mediocre offensive ones.

Despite the early hate from Baalke he has made some smart moves this off season along with having a smart draft. I personally would of picked hutch over Walker but I can see the big advantage in Walker being an elite run defender. That's big with Henry in the division. Walker is a big gamble.

I also believe Pederson will get the most out of Lawrence. If he can get Lawrence playing like we seen in week 18 at a consistent level this team could be sneaky dangerous. Things are looking up.

It wasn't meant to be directed at you specifically, more so just in general for all of us on this board/fans in general.
Always funny to see chuckleheads tripping over their own genitals to back track on their own hot takes to make some half [BLEEP] attempt at reason

LOL

I'd give it the time of day had i not waded through page after page of your idiotic whining.

Exhibit A on how not to be a mod.

1. Enters thread and adds nothing of value to a thread.
2. Derails thread while hurling insults. Crying like a little girl. Someone must have peed in his cheerios or in his face.
3. While I have already said it's a new day with Pederson and the new regime, continues to clinch his butt to the past. Like an old man shaking a stick. Broken records

Back to the block list with negative Nancy here. I guess the standards to be a mod are low on duval pride. Clowns running the circus.

Holding you accountable to the many pages of garbage we all endured from you while you casually attempt to act as if it never happened.

That's all.

Carry on.

Naw, it's not a new day as far as your terrible takes go. You better hope that Lawrence turns into a complete flop because you're going to be torn to shreds from here on out if he doesn't.

Also, you hurl insults more than anybody around here, yet you're the very first to play the victim.

And as far as adding value to a thread, you have so many people blocked on here that you constantly re-post stuff that has already been posted/discussed hours/days prior dude.
