Having said that, we ain't gotta lie to kick it. Herbert has a stronger arm.
Herbert also has a ton of 4th quarter Ints and is massively overrated.
Highest Jaguar rating ever with atleast 37 attempts.. Just over 129 rating
He seems to really be putting it all together. And this with a sub par pass blocking o line and not many weapons in the passing game. Add ridley to this offense along with a WR drafted in the first couple of rounds and next year truly could be special.
Decided to go to Jax on my last vacation this year to (aside from visiting the parents ofc) see a Jags game and specifically see Lawrence live for the first time, and I really wanted to see the Ravens game. However, job constraints made me take it between Thanksgiving and Christmas so I had to choose the Cowboys game instead.
I'm so gutted I didn't get to see this live (and I've seen a few memorable ones, too. Jimmy's OT TD vs the Lions in 04, Scobee's 59 yarder vs Indy in 2010 and Thomas's deflected hail mary that same year) but man am I so looking forward to that Dallas game in a few weeks.
So... he good now? That's good to know
Man I am so stoked I can't get over it. When he plants his back foot, the ball comes out like a laser. So accurate. And not to be overlooked, we finally have a set of receivers who catch the damn ball.
I'd also like to say, when seeing the trajectory of the two careers so far for Trevor Lawrence and Zach Wilson, a lot of guys have the physical talent, but they don't have the inner makeup, the mental toughness, the discipline, the ability to always do the right thing, to stand up and take the slings and arrows when things don't go the way they wanted. Trevor's got some backbone.
We're not gonna win them all but we have something new to be excited about with the lightbulb in Trevor finally coming on. We may just have our Franchise QB finally after all these years

Agreed. At this time they hold the 11th overall pick. That's a pretty good spot to be in. You're looking at a solid WR, a pretty good G/T or the best TE of the draft class.
I still think A.T Perry needs to be a target in RD2, even late RD1. I think last year and this year for him have been pretty damn good at Wake Forest with a few injuries at QB. He had 15 TD's last year. He's at 11 now. Makes a lot of 50/50 catches and has pretty good speed.
6'5 - 205. Just a target they need IMHO for Lawrence. Especially with how good Lawrence's accuracy and ball placement has been lately this year.
I'll take Johnny Wilson out of FSU in 2024 as well if he decides to leave early. Another giant of a receiver with good speed at 6'7.
I've been a die hard fan since Garrard took over for Leftwich in the final week before the season started in 2007.
Lawrence has been the best QB this franchise has had since I've been following this team, and it's not even close. I think his breakout game was actually the San Diego game. But this game. This is his signature game. People forget how potentially devastating Urban Meyer's coaching was to Lawrence last year.
Lawrence was left out to dry in every game. Go back and look at his passing attempts his rookie year. Dude was being forced to throw the ball 40 to 50 times per game. As a rookie! And Urban wasn't giving any sort of mentorship to Lawrence. Just threw him out to the lions. Under circumstances like that many QBs would be ruined. Trevor has had ups and downs to start this year, but there was always sustained play that was above average.
Every game this season has been a tale of sustained performance coupled with a handful of momentum killing mistakes. But lately, he's been minimizing those mistakes. And here we have him showing us the real potential we have at QB. The WR's are performing great as well. But it's as though Trevor is making the entire offense better.... Huh, who knew such a thing could be.

And that’s a franchise QB. Someone who makes the other guys around him better.
The OLine looks better because of Trevor. The WRs look better. The TEs look better. The whole offense is better with him.
There are only a handful of QBs that I would take over Trevor right now for the Jags future. He’s got that type of ceiling.

welcome to large market popularity contests.
Yeah. We beat Baltimore. They beat... Chicago. Meh...
White also didn't start a game this year until this week and he had 3 TDs, 300+ yards and only missed 6 passes.
Who cares who wins this anyway.

Bit of a mind [BLEEP] when you realize the Jets gifted us Lawrence with an all out blitz that cost them a game and the number one overall pick.
