Bro is 6’4 and can catch the football and he can run.
I heard the tail end of something on 1010 that said Parker Washington can only play slot and he might not make the final 53. He didn’t do enough to unseat Agnew, and let’s be real, he had to do a lot to surpass Swagnew. I think he is Practice Squad which could leave a small chance for Cooks to make it. I don’t think Cooks makes it but there’s a small chance.

Cooks?
He might…
Called it. Kinda, but Parker stays. Cooper Hodges going to IR but coming back this year.
Claybrooks is not in the clear.

Good developmental backup C/OG
D Williams and Vohasek are my biggest wish list guys for PS.
Prince, Hallett, S Williams and Harris would be nice as well, but not as dire necessity-wise.

For those seemingly surprised by Daniel Thomas making the team (and Claybrooks still on the roster even though not counting against it yet due to league suspension)
Thomas and Claybrooks were gunners in a kick coverage unit that downed 24 punts inside the 20 last year.
There were several key punts downed inside the ten late in games to help preserve a lead or aid in a win.
These guys helped Cooke achieve the 6th best net punting distance in the league.
The practice I attended featured kick coverage drills and many of the other DBs, WRs, and RBs had reps.
None of them were as fluid and quick to the returner as Thomas and Claybrooks.
While Claybrooks' status is in jeopardy due to the legal matter, I think Thomas' ability in this role factored into his roster spot. I've seen some folks waiving off this role as unimportant in roster decisions, but I'd wager Coach Farwell feels differently and that's why Claybrooks wasn't cut after the second domestic issue, and why Daniel Thomas is still a safety for the Jaguars.
ok, now we wait. Tomorrow should be just as interesting.
1. Claiming period for players placed on waivers at the final roster reduction will expire at 12:00 noon, New York time.tomorrow.
2. Upon receipt of the subsequent Personnel Notice, clubs may establish a Practice Squad of 16 players. Clubs participating in the International Player Development Program may sign one additional international player to a practice player contract. No club, including the player’s prior club, will be permitted to sign a player to a practice player contract until all clubs have received simultaneous notification via the above Personnel Notice that such player’s prior NFL player contract has been terminated via the waiver system.
3. Beginning at 4:00 p.m., New York time, any player placed on Reserve/Injured, Reserve/Non- Football Injury or Illness, or Practice Squad; Injured during the regular season or postseason, may be designated for return later in the season, subject to the applicable procedures.
Can't say there were any big surprises. Prince tailed off following his great start in training camp. Cooks really looked great and likely edged out Jacob Harris. I was a little surprised that they kept 7 receivers, but obviously they really value Tim Jones' special teams contributions.
It wouldn't be at all surprising if the team decides to add a corner/nickel like King, although Baalke and Pederson feel much better about Herndon than the fan base. I'd still like to also see them add a pass rusher as this still looks like a team weakness. Derek Barnette would be my top choice via trade with the Eagles. The cost would not be high (late draft pick) and his guaranteed money should also be reasonable.
I think there could still be a few transactions. We might see a receiver traded.
Anyone have a list of the final (for now) 53?
I think Cooks could be a move TE

Jags are going to be slinging that rock this year I guess.

Quarterbacks
Running backs
Wide receivers
Tight ends
Offensive linemen
Defensive linemen
Linebackers
Defensive backs
Special teams
Reserve lists
Looks like 55 listed active here - but we know two of them may begin the year inactive (Hamilton - injury , and Cam R - suspension)

They put Engram at the Y position and F position on various routes.
Stands to reason Cooks would present a mismatch on those same routes - just doesn't offer the same degree of blocking ability.
I'm glad to see Cooks, Ledbetter, and Junior make the 53

Blake Hance has been released, per Jaguars.com, and Cam Robinson has been put on the suspended list.
He'll be added back tomorrow.
Similar (but not exactly the same) to what they did with Gotsis last year. Massaging the numbers.
Candidates for the PS:
Hallett
Vohasek
Prince
Harris
Williams
Jordan Smith
Parish
Tevaugn Campbell
Others?
We seem to be really thin at D-line?

Base 34 uses fewer linemen and more linebackers.
When accounting for injuries I mean.
