He's quietly good in coverage and gets a good amount of tipped passes here and there. I expect him to pick a few passes off this year in clutch moments.

Agreed 100% on McCormick and Bortolini. Jordan Jefferson I hope provides solid depth within the interior of the defense as well because it sounds pretty early like we may regret not taking another interior lineman on offense instead.

BTJ doing what he's doing is not surprising at all. He was a highlight reel at LSU last season. I think he'll be more involved than people realize right off the bat against Miami in the season opener.

Love to hear it though with Maason Smith. Maybe that move will make up for Baalke's miss with Walker Little a few years ago under similar circumstances.
I still think Baalkes worst pick imo is Brenton Strange.  I still believe Little is a starting caliber LT especially if he was given a full camp.  The reports so far in camp on Strange is he has struggled early.

Bigsby and Vontrell Miller have looked good.  DeLugo said Lacy whooped Fortner today in one on ones without surprise lol
Strange and Bigsby both look like very bad picks. Torrence in round 2 and Diaby in round 3 would have been the correct picks. Instead of Diaby, Baalke takes Abdullah from the same school Louisville) who has done nothing.
I still have hope for Abdullah. Bigsby should hit another level this season but I don’t know what to make of Strange. He won’t see the field much with Engram revitalizing his career.

I think Dawand Jones in the 3rd would have been the right pick, i wanted Torrence in the 2nd. If we took Jones and Torrence they would have helped our run game tremendously and we would have Cams and Scherffs replacements on the roster and Harrison could go back to LT.   I still think Bigsby can end up a good pick though and i think he will have a much better year this year.  I dont have much hope for Strange, hopefully he proves me wrong. They would have only been able to get one of Diaby or Torrence though not both, Diaby went before Bigsby

I stand corrected. Good catch!
I'm starting to get a baaad vibe about this season. Or at least the beginning.

How should ‘Bigsby hit another level’ yet ‘you don’t know what to make of Strange’?  They’re both horrible and were both bad picks.

Injuries.  3 of the 5 starting olineman are out right now.  I wonder if any other team in the league has that many of their starting lineman out right now?

Injuries, especially to the paper-thin IOL. We’re one rolled up ankle or torn ligament from having last year’s face plant season. Then Trevor and ETN start getting hurt.
You have to have depth at o-line. Not sure why our front office trots out such a thin talent pool at o-line for the franchise qb.
Hodges is being held out with a back injury. Wingard is going to miss significant time with a knee injury.

Bigsby can’t have a year as bad as 2023. No where to go but up because the talent is there.
I'm predicting an early trade for a veteran guard. Won't be a good value but it will stop the bleeding.

I agree with both of these points.  I still don't get why Baalke didn't use the trade assets acquired from trading down in the first round, to come back up and get competition at the IOL.  Trading up the 3rd compensatory to mid round lands you in the middle of some great G picks that would bring competition and depth.  Or he could have been bolder in FA to bring in a G vet to go along with Morse.

To be clear, you’re getting a bad feeling out RT is out a few days with a concussion, Cam is working in individuals, and we don’t even know the extent of Ezra (watching him walk around after seemed minor) all a MONTH before a game?

Good god y’all panic over nothing. Extremely likely our starting line is fine this time next week.

Too late to panic over our O-Line personnel.  I believe all the starters will be healthy by the start of the season.  Maybe it will help our depth a bit getting extra reps after all. Downside is less time for the starters to get reps and getting cohesive.
I went to the practice today. ?. I didn't see very many receivers get open. I guess our defense is top notch ?‍♂️

No panic, but some of yall overreact when reported what is happening.  Don't get your panties in a bunch about what's happening in camp.  Fact remains 3 starters are nursing injuries or working light duty because of an injury.  They might all be ready next week they might not.  Not good though with this many injuries and we haven't even played a preseason game yet, not ideal for sure.

In my case it's not the specific injuries, but simply that in one week of pads 3 of 5 OLmen went down.  Without depth you're risking going into a game with a giant hole in your line. **cough** Fortner **cough**

I am not sure the guy (Fortner) makes the 53. Been to 2 padded practices and every time I saw him he was getting his lunch money taken away from him.
