I'm guessing after all the injuries last season teams are trying to stay as healthy as possible with starters and judge depth. Could mean a few rusty teams first few weeks.
If it's an entrenched unit with little turnover on the roster or in the booth , I can see it. At that stage most of the power players have already been through the gamut of learning and using the playbook, game situations, and the like. Frankly if not for the churn at WR I imagine we wouldn't see much of our starting offensive skill players in the preseason, either.
I still think it's important to get the starters some play time. Mahomes plays every preseason, Rodgers/Brady/Manning etc used to play in every preseason. It's important to get those live game reps in, even with teams that have had the same core unit for years.

Notable highlights:
Injuries: The only reported injury from the Chiefs game was LB Foye Oluokun (hamstring). He worked on the side during practice. OT Steve Jones (calf) was limited but did individual drills.
Safety Darnell Savage, who has been in a red no-contact jersey during camp, got his first interception on a ball in the red zone thrown by Lawrence and off Tank Bigsby's hands. It's also the first time in camp that Bigsby has been party to a turnover, either a deflection that led to an interception or a fumble. Given his ball security issues last year, Jaguars coaches have to be happy with his improvement.
The offense conducted all of its team drills in the red zone after going inside. All three quarterbacks had TD passes, Trevor Lawrence hitting Brian Thomas Jr., Mac Jones finding Parker Washington, Brenton Strange and D'Ernest Johnson, and C.J. Beathard throwing scores to Gary Brightwell, Washington, Devin Duvernay and Travis Etienne.
Despite having a standout night on special teams against the Chiefs, the Jaguars were back at work on covering and return kicks under the NFL's new kickoff rules. Rookie kicker Cam Little has been adept at working the ball to the corners for the coverage teams to bottle up returners.
I am betting we could see some starters, but that decision will not be made till practices this week. A "gentleman's agreement" between coaches. Easier to say no then change to yes than the other way around.

Unless they are terrible during practice, I doubt you see any starters that played in game 1 and practiced. If a starter needs some reps because they were held out, maybe they play a few snaps.

Will Campbell and Darby get playing time? They are our starting duo at CB are they not? Also, Darnell Savage and Cisco at Safety is lit. Gipson is a good veteran presence and depth instead of just having Dewey.
Brightwell has looked good in his opportunities. Wish the numbers weren’t against him.
