Full Version: Democrats! Sell me on Harris!

I am an independent who is squarely in the Republican corner this election because they much more align with my values.  So can we talk about the great accomplishments that Harris has done?  Can we discuss her policies and what she  plans to do to fix the economy and the border.  I saw the videos where she was in charge of the border but couldn't bother to visit it. So the Democrats are going all in on Harris. Lets not talk about Trump here because thats what every Democratic argument turns into.  So what does Harris bring to the table and what will 4 years look like with her running the country.  From the outside she looks as dumb as a bag of rocks but to get where she is she has to have some level of intelligence.  Sell me on her!

Their allies in the media are now saying and/or allowing campaign surrogates to say on air without rebuttal that she was never the border czar.  Let's dissect that.  They are trying to distance themselves from what they clearly see as a problem for her.  They are indirectly admitting that this administration has failed the American people at the border by doing so, not that that wasn't already obvious, but also suggesting that she was not responsible for it.  Except most haven't forgotten that she was in fact charged with dealing with the border crisis and there is video evidence of Joe Biden saying as such right next to her which will no doubt be in a campaign ad at some point.

Let's not forget that 2 weeks ago, the Democratic party was tearing itself apart at the prospect of putting her up as the nominee, but you can't have internal and very public second guessing going on in the run up to the election.  You have to sell to the American people that the party is united which is what they're attempting to do now.   Too much money and too many government job appointments at stake.  They have to put on a brave, faux unified face.  Once she loses, the internal bickering and finger pointing will come back to the surface for a time.  People can have short memories, but this is all too close to election day for people to have forgotten by then.
I'm sure there's a pimp out there with a copy of her resume..
Harris can give a speech without forgetting what she was talking about about or going off on pointless tangents.

There is a reason Barry Husein isn't endorsing her.

Lol, she has yet to give a speech where she KNOWS what she's talking about.

And damn, I nailed it. he couldn't even make a post defending her with saying she isn't Trump, lol.

Really? I see people posting videos of her saying the same phrases over and over and over again

Obama is not endorsing her either.

This didn’t age at all.
On a map, she was able to correctly identify the Mexican and Canadian borders.

She can also out-cackle the Wicked Witch of the West.

That's all I've got.
I am also an Independent leaning towards Trump this year. I don't know of any "openly" Democratic folks on here, but, I am all ears.

The closest candidate they had that I liked was RFK Jr., but, he's officially running as an Independent/3rd party option. Or was.

RFK Jr did want to run as a Democrat but they forced him out.  He may have gotten my vote because he may have brought common sense back to the Democratic party. Too bad they screwed him because he would of been a much stronger candidate to back than Harris.

She’s a little more cute than Biden or Trump.

This is why I also cannot get onboard with the Democratic party. They spent the last eight years demonizing Trump instead of just building up, cultivating and establishing strong, viable leadership and young, promising candidates.

That's not to say the Republican's have as well. Maybe Vivek, maybe DeSantis. Vance will get his chance potentially if he plays the game right with Trump.

But, yeah. Just nothing over there on the left that gets me excited or hopeful for the long term. Especially at 36 years of age with a 4 year old son to worry about.

The social agenda [BLEEP] from that side worries me a whole hell of lot more than what's said or parroted from the right. The right is also warming up to miniorities and the LGBTQ+ community now more than ever.

A lot of the race cards and vitcimization the left has rallied behind for decades is finally losing it's foothold in the grand scheme of things.

RFK had potential. He was forced out like you said, because, he's not within their club or clique over there. It's the same way Bernie Sanders got brow beaten, or, physically beaten (black eye incident) into endorsing Clinton in 2016 after he said he wouldn't do it.

in the words of Americus, vote policy, not the person. Thus, you don't need to be sold on Kamala. Just look at both parties policies then vote for the policies you favor and ignore the candidate.
