Quote:Wow dude I just got dejavu reading your post. Who was the dude that said playing in Jacksonville was a nice vacation? It's like we have a team full of players and coaches on vacation.
Not sure but he/she was right!
Quote:Yep, during his first year. I thought his style was a refreshing change and that once the old baggage was purged from the roster we would start seeing results. But just as Setsuna says, the accountability factor never emerged. Additionally, he seems completely clueless on the sidelines. Between head scratching play calls and atrocious clock management, he's always standing there with hands on knees at every snap like some football wisdom is going to magically appear. I think Khan has made a critical mistake in voicing his support for him next season. I predict he'll be gone by the 4th game.

Looking at the opponents for next year. It's going to require a ton of hits in free agency and the draft. Caldwell has his work cut out for him if he wants to see any success from Gus next year. It's kind of a lame duck scenario.
Quote:I'm ok with 1 more year. But then I join the whiner bandwagon.

I predict you will be joining the "whiner" bandwagon next season, and it will more then likely be earlier then you think.
I wasn't aware we had a bandwagon for whining.  Just imagine the bandwagon if there was wins at any point in the past nine years.  You can hardly fault fans for being fans.

Thanks for posting, Mrs. Bradley.
I was Good With Gus until Season 3, Episode 4. It's not that they didn't win, it's that they made the same mistakes over and over again. That didn't change the whole year. Coaches must find a way to win with the players they have or someone else takes over. The absolute "he should go moment" was the "we tried everything" comment; when you've reached the last page you should close the book.

Dude, it seemed like after every loss there was some stupid comment that Bradley said that made you scratch your head and wonder what the heck this guys does Monday through Saturday...

someone with a better memory than mine should put together a list of Gus' inane comments.  But you're right, the "we tried everything" one was one of the more infuriating things he said this year.
2013: 4-12

2014: 3-13

2015: 5-11

I see the improvement this year. One less loss. Start of a winning trend - gotta ride it.

Only 6 more years to .500!
Yes, I've lost confidence in him.

Watching this team suck over the past 2 weeks is not a good indication the players are battling each and every play to help them (and their coach) succeed.

WE PRETTY MUCH SUCK !!

This picture was taken of the Gus supporters this past weekend.

it's not a matter of talent. It's a matter of his clear incompetency at this point. It's embarrassing and makes the jaguars a joke when you hear some of gus' and babich's quotes.

he just doesn't know what he's doing.

Your mother's here with me too. She says hi and don't forget to clean your room.

Oh I'm sure by the first game I will. Because I have high expectations of this team from here on out and if we lose a winnable game, I'm gonna be the loudest member. I said 4 years is what I'm giving this regime. And expected the first 3 to be bad.
Gus is a placeholder for a new head coach.

I think barring him miraculously becoming a good head coach next season he's gone.  I don't see us winning more than 6 maybe 7 games and that's not enough.

Then Caldwell will have the talent stocked up.  Bortles and ARob will have another year under their belt.  Several new FA/draft picks will be added to the defense.  Suddenly this team looks a lot more attractive to a big time head coach...

If you clean your room you get ice - no, no never mind we've worn this one out...

Not yet, apparently. He's still falling for it.

With the GM having a 5 year contract and the improvement coming absent the Head Coaching input, yeah it sure seems to be the case.

So has whining about the coach
My opinion has changed several times this season. It seems to change by the week.
