Like the QB thread.... where Teddy was the best of the bunch by a long shot...

 

Say what you want about FBT... but he is at least more level-headed than most posters here. Albeit sometimes, like with any of us, the message board battles can cause the most mature of people to rant off into some immature nonsense.

I'm obviously high on BB5, but Teddy is playing next week. They also have a defensive minded coach who actually calls his own defense. Crazy concept..

Teddy is playing next week... must be nice to be (essentially) a 2nd round pick, with AP in the backfield and a very solid D.

 

Hey, I'm with you on one thing... Zimmer (former DC) calls his own D. Maybe Gus should do that.

Not sure it would make AluAlu and Clemons and Branch any better on the line........ but maybe.

 

If not for that D, Teddy isn't playing next week.

Gus doesn't have a clue what is going on on the defensive side of the ball and it sounds like it just actually occurred to him in his presser that he could actually call his own defense.

FWIW, Frank Wycheck does a radio show here in the mornings and he keeps mentioning Bradley as the type of coach he'd like to see with the Titans.  Maybe one too many hits to the ol' melon during his playing days?

Just trying to see where your point lies. In that you compared me to FBT and then I compared you to TMD, so you immediately try to defend the insane posts of TMD by saying Teddy is in the playoffs so he is the better QB?

I did not say TB was the best QB of the draft. You bashed TMD for liking TB and I just pointed out the fact that his team made the playoffs.

 

He obviously has a coach who understands each players strengths and weaknesses. Ours doesn't. Otherwise, we wouldn't be running Seattle's defense with pee-wee personnel. 

I felt like Gus overachieved in his first season... that was a 1 or 2 win roster. I jumped off the Gus bus late last season. Just haven't seen much improvement from him as a Gameday coach. Plus, the team always seems unprepared.

all posters on here have moments of immaturity. Some in your camp are subject to entire days of trolling, look at Adam. That dude basically went off the deep end yesterday and just attacked other posters in every single one of his comments.


There are posters, like myself that can also fall into the depths of immaturity as well.


It's the nature of posting in the jungle. One faction is not above another in terms of foolishness.

ONE does NOT have to do with the OTHER. (TMD liking Teddy, Teddy making the playoffs)

 

I didn't bash TMD for liking Teddy. I lumped that one thread in with his other millions of SO WRONG posts.

He put Teddy over all. in year 2 Teddy is still a game manager, and the other dink and dunker, that was a rookie this year (Eminem) basically outplayed him at his own game.

Carr and Bortles are clearly better QBs, and that was the point.

Along with (which you missed) Dan LeFevour being one of his top talents back in the day.

I have backed Khan, who has backed Gus. Yes, I am a Gus fan and want him to succeed and even have backed this decision pretty hard to keep him. I must admit, my trust is a bit shaky after the last defeat because of the manner in how we lost after the backing. I still back Gus but he has a lot of work to do. He has to perform or he's out!

Here's the simplest I can break it down.

I enjoy football.

I prefer winning to losing.

I don't flip out over who is or isn't starting, who is or isn't coach, and who is or isn't making choices.

I don't lose my cool because Dave doesn't draft my guy, and I don't freak out when he doesn't over pay for some dude just because the message board warriors think it should be.

 

I have ZERO control over anything Jaguars, except how much I choose to enjoy it. Offseason, in season... doesn't matter.

 

Flipping over pages and pages of ranting about some sorry [BLEEP] coach isn't going to get him gone any quicker.

If Gus is so horrible, he'll be gone eventually.
