I haven't read the comics but from the episode, I interpreted the experiences and visions that Tyreese was having as partially his making peace with something that happened to him before he got to the prison. It wasn't all that explicit though (Who where those twins in the picture? Did Tyresse have a twin?) but It's possible that it was explained already though so maybe I missed that part.

That was Noah and his brother.

Yeah, you're right, that makes perfect sense since it was Noah's house. Although we never really saw his brother but I wonder if Ty also had a twin since he was looking at it so intently. It seemed to have some deeper meaning to him. As a corollary, I wonder if we'll see the actor again at some point along the line. Smile

Yeah I haven't read the comics either and I am even further bummed because there was a lot of foreshadowing in last night's episode. And if it's the next guy being introduced which a lot of fans are already speculating it's going to probably be a very upsetting season.

Between this show and Game Of Thrones the "WOW" factor is there. It's exciting. Makes me feel ashamed that I don't read books nor comics as cool as these series. It has of course enticed me to go back and read everything though which I will. But the internet is such a terrible playground for spoilers man.

The Talking Dead hinted to that. The second half of this season is going to be crazy.
Yep. They said this next group of folks and the head of that group makes "The Governor" look like child's play.

I thought this episode was beautiful. It created a huge thematic element of "Good people die first" with Tyreese knowing this and refusing to be an animal despite it. Good stuff.

That said, lame death for a survivor. Who does that? Although while the focus was on Tyreese, they snuck in tons of little pieces of foreshadowing.

Side note: does TWD have like a black people quota they have to maintain or something? Seems like when they get too many black dudes one dies-- T Dogg, Bob, that prisoner, ect.
Fans have started speculating that Morgan Jones may have hinted at a new threat during season 3 of The Walking Dead. In the episode titled “Clear,” Rick’s savior had become mentally unstable, and he was ranting about “people wearing dead people’s faces.” At the time, viewers probably just assumed Morgan was crazy and that he saw Rick as a ghost from his past that wasn’t really there. However, it’s possible that he was actually ranting about a group of villains he had encountered before.

Long story short, fans are basically speculating that Glenn will more than likely be the climax of this season's finish. He will be killed by Negan in a viscious way. However, this may or may not happen. Again, if you follow the comic story, it's possible the director of the show is pushing this away completely. For one, we all know Daryl has nothing to do with the actual story from the comic. Tyreese technically out lived his role from his ending in the Comic. In the comic, he actually dies by the hands of "The Governor" and that scene was opted out by the director with Herschel's death in his place instead. So it's per speculation at this point. And it can truly go either way. However, if Glenn were to die, it would send shockwaves throughout the fanbase who only know of TWD through the show on AMC and not the comic series.

I was talking about this yesterday too with my fiance. It sucks really. I literally said "Why do they keep calling off the black characters and swapping them out for guys I don't like?". T-Dogg was awesome. Bob was "okay". But dropping Tyreese was a bummer. But that's how it was written in the comic so I can't complain. Realistically it's an apocalpyse, and not everyone is going to live. Still sucks losing a good, strong character in my book. I was more upset about Tyreeses' death more than any other character in the show so far outside of maybe Herschel.
If Glen dies, I riot..

If Daryl dies, I riot..

If Rick dies, I riot...

I guess I'm just looking for an excuse now..

Agree - THIS ESPECIALLY!!!!

Maggie too!
I just found this thread and was reading through old comments. Even some of you fellow fans comment on some of the episodes being boring and having too many filler episodes. I will say I have never once watched this series on an episode by episode basis. Season 3 had just ended when I had first heard about the show. They had a marathon showing all 3 seasons and I vegged on every episode in a single weekend. Since then, I have not yet watched it episode by episode yet. What I mean is that I haven't watched Season 5 episode 9 yet and will not watch it until the summer. I've never liked any show where I watch an episode one week and then have to wait a week for the next episode. I literally wait until all 8 episodes are out and then watch all of them within 2-3 days. For me, I am never bored by the show because if their is a bad episode, I don't have to wait a week to watch the next episode.

I am with you 100%, I really thought it was a beautiful episode the way they handled things. The writers/directors have evolved with the show just like the survivors and how they survive.

And yes, lots of foreshadowing. I have seen a couple articles about things that some may not have picked up on. Very intersting, and telling.

It is my understanding that the storyline from the comics to the show is becoming more and more loosely followed as time goes on.

Never been a bad episode imo, and I understand the "slow" parts because it helps set other story lines up that help the story flow, and evolve.

I'm the same way for most shows but, I watch TWD weekly to keep up with the water cooler talk at work.

No, I agree with you. I understand the element known as storytelling. Some people just need constant action to be entertained. I guess I'm just saying if their is a slower episode, I get back to a faster episode quicker.

I can get away with it because right now I am in between college and starting a job, plus the show is too gruesome for most people I know, so nobody spoils it for me regardless.

*snip*
.

as far as your points
Daryl, Beth and other non comic characters shouldn't really effect the outcome, even back at the cannibals they foreshadow Glenn getting his head bashed in. It'll be needed for our eyecandy, I mean Maggie's story to go where it needs to go, plus now that Beth is gone, Glenn is probably the most annoying character left.
I love the show and none of the episodes are ever bad to me. There are some that are better than the others, and some that would be considered. Slow. I watched seasons 1 & 2 on netflix and I know what you are saying. When you watch them in a marathon like that, it's a different experience than week to week. The only time I felt like an episode was a bit slow was the one with Beth and Daryl and I didn't 'dislike' the show, I just missed seeing all of the characters. I get ya though.
