I still remember that interception he threw. He choked. At the goal line. U know
We all were scared he might throw it
Quote:So i am suppose to believe. He really knows the facts. But he had to say what the national media thinks? Weak
 You're right.  It is weak.
If we had andy reid and alex would we suck? We got worse. They got better
I meet someone from the previous coaching staff. Long time around when they were let go. They told me khan son runs this team like a fantasy league. And that we will be terrible. I thought they were just upset. At the time i was drinking the koolaid and glad they were all let go. Now i am haunted by their warning and were dead on. Next two drafts are getting intense. We must get manziel and hit on 2 thru 4 also. Bridgewater will fall apart. Manziel has they attitude and puts the ball exactly in the right spot. No one is going to fool me on georgias qb or a second round guy. If we get another gabbert. Its over. Manziel also better be aloud to play in the shot gun. If he is changed by our coaching staff. I will go nuts. Just a gut feeling. Hope we take him and put him in the best position to win. And yes. Lose every game. So our is forced to prove his worth. This team can be better in two more drafts. Better be. I remember reading our gm saying. "Remind me this is the right way". Im not feeling good. Scared they will screw up the draft. I want the first pick. So we are forced to see how good they can draft
Sorry. I read my post. I text too fast. Sorry. U know what i mean.
You know what I wish?

I wish Shad would send a personal email and then back it up with a national release

that this team is NOT moving anywhere, that network analysts can babble all they want but they don't oWN the team and that he is in it for the long haul.

He's spent money, he's done things the Weavers never did and he's dealing with cleaning up the freakin' mess left by several YEARS of poor drafting, poor coaching and poor management.

Despite what all the armchair coaches, GMS and owners think its going to take a while.

Will I be glad to get thru this year? Hell yeah, these two QB's we're stuck with are painful to watch.

can we count on Caldwell to make progress next year, I'm betting yes.

Can you condense your rants into one solid response?

No. I just bust out and fade away

Amen!! This isn't twitter!!

I totally understand why you feel that way, and it would be nice to hear from him on the matter, however....

I feel like he made some pretty definitive statements on his intentions last year. He shouldn't really have to stoop to ESPN's level or cater to the insecurities of conspiracy theorists and doom and gloom thinkers.  (not roping you into either category, BTW)

On the heels of Brunell's boneheaded gaff - I wouldn't be surprised to see Khan pressed to make a statement by any media types he may encounter in the coming weeks.

The simple fact that we all know still remains -  just win.   More wins = more butts in the seats  = more local revenue = less relocation drivel from crap media sources and easily influenced former quarterbacks

If Caldwell/ Bradley  can't steer the club near .500 next season - then this relocation talk may start to become meaningful.

Any of you sycophants that would be shocked if the Jaguars move to London are delusional.  The odds of this team being here 10 years from now are low.

Are you implying that people that believe the words that come out of Khan's mouth are somehow trying to cozy up or gain the favor of the man?

....or do you just have no idea what that word means?
Rather than a watery apology from Brunell, I would be keenly interested in why he said what he said.  Not just a casual question, but a real grilling from someone who would ask him a series of questions about what, where, and when he heard indications that led him to believe the Jags will move eventually.  That would substantial.  Not his puling little words of regret on a local radio show.

When he is inducted into the ring I will be sitting on my hands.

I’m late to the party (well, thread) on this one, so I just went and checked out what Mark actually said on air:

Quote:"You know, it wouldn’t surprise me," Brunell said when Mike Golic asked him if he thought the Jaguars topped the list of franchises that could move to Los Angeles or London. "I hate to say it, but we’ve got an owner in Shad Khan that’s bought the soccer team over there and all indications are that we’re headed that way. It’s not good for Jacksonville. You don’t hear a lot of that talk in Jacksonville right now but everywhere else, someone mentioned it the other day it’s the Jacksonville Jaguars of London. I want them to stay. That’s my home. I love the franchise. I love the organization, but it wouldn’t surprise anybody if in a few years it happened."

My response is: What on earth are people so upset about??  From the rage on these boards, to John Oehser calling Mark ‘misguided’ . . it’s baffling.  What Mark said sounds completely reasonable to me.  He’s saying he doesn’t want the team to move, he wants them in Jacksonville – but if it did happen on day, it wouldn’t come as a complete surprise.

To placate the angry mob, he followed up with.

Quote:Heard from a lot of Jag fans about my comments on Mike and Mike. Please know that NOBODY wants the Jags to stay in Jax more than me.

Believing these observations constitute a great betrayal is ridiculous. It’s really low to trash Brunell over this.

I agree that there is a general overreaction to Brunell's comments.  Oehser, to be fair, called the remarks "misguided" not Brunell himself.

Despite the overreaction - Brunell's comments are certainly a major PR gaff for the franchise - and his timing was impeccably horrendous considering they just announced his induction into the Pride.
To be fair, my irritation is based strictly on personal reasons.  Every time I talk to my brother, who lives in ND, on the phone he claims that it is almost a foregone conclusion that the Jags are moving.  This will only feed the fire.
