I was thinking of that fiery place, with smoldering rock, burning air, and deathly spirits.

You are not real. You are make believe.
He's on the Thursday night show. Guarantee you we get a "taken out of context" and "not the way it was intended to sound". We get to hear about how he trust Shad Khan and his commitment to Jacksonville.

Quote:Brunell shouldn't have dignified the question with an answer. By doing so he perpetuates the myth on a national scale. I'm sure he 'll backtrack from it on his Thursday radio show, but it's out there now. He'll have to deal with the consequences.

The qualifier doesn't diminish what he said in my opinion. Saying it wouldn't surprise him was a weak way to answer it to begin with, especially on a widely syndicated show that plays from coast to coast.
Really it isn't something to get worked up about. This team could remove tarps, sell out and have a waiting list and no one in the national media would deviate from the same thing they have been saying/writing for years now. The funny part is all of the hurt writer scrubs that think the Jacksonville Super Bowl was the worst ever. Wah Wah... personally I thought it was great and had a very good half time show.

Tough to take it out of context when the entire interview is out there.

I fully expect a tap dance on Thursday night.

It's coming from someone the media will portray as an insider. That's the issue.
At this point, take the bums!

Quote:So he basically feeds the ESPN/National Media narrative. I wonder what his BFF Boselli would think.

Listen to the radio show tonight.
Quote:Mark Brunell is not going there. He is a devout Christian and will go to heaven as a result.

So it's LA then?
I'm really getting sick of this crap, they keep saying Jaguars gonna just because we have the worst team this year, No team will ever move just because its a bad team, its just ignorant for people in the media to say that.

When we were having blackout troubles that was more understandable back then, it seems like now that we havent had a black out in like 4 years they have to find some other reason to say we should move.

Teams only move for a few reasons, not making money, and stadium/city issues, teams do not move due to poor play, in that case Tampa Bay would have been moved since they have some of the worst seasons, only team in history with four 0-7 starts, Rams would be moved they have been the worst team since 2005, Saints would have moved they were terrible for years.

Its just really stupid for the media to keep spreading this crap out there

I saw the show this morning and was utterly disappointed he did not take the opportunity to defend Jax a little more. It was almost as if he was trying to fit in on the ESPN set.

Later I watched him on First Take and once again he appeared to be fitting in as he disagreed with Skip and then laughed as he admitted Skip is very persuasive and making him consider changing his opinion. It seemed like he was afraid to go against the grain.

Wouldn't surprise me, either.   Doesn't worry me, though.
Quote:Mark Brunell said, "It wouldn't surprise me." In other words, he does not expect it, but knows such a move is possible.

"What does not kill you makes you stronger."

Your motto is incorrect.   There are a lot of things that don't kill you but don't make you stronger, either.

Brunell is out there trying to make a paycheck. He's doing what he thinks he needs to do to continue making paychecks. That high school coaching job doesn't pay much.

Mark had a real chance to squash some of the talk and defend the fan base that stands behind this team. He had a chance to recognize there are other franchises struggling with tickets and revenue worse then we are. He blew it in my opinion and I have lost a lot of respect for him. Now he's just another member of the national media that's told what to say it seems.
I hope he gets booed when he goes into the pride. If I were Khan I would consider rescinding his entry.
If I was Khan id think seriously about the opportunity to own the first and only nfl franchise on europoean soil. To have an entire country supporting your team? That would be a pretty darn good business opportunity
