I think i want him on our team. If we keeping losing and cant compete. Then we need something electric to get us going. I dont know if im alone on this, but we need something. Unless i am wrong and we start winnning, this 3 to 5 year plan is old. Teams go the KC way. You dont have to wait years and years to see if the puzzle works. I cant take the pain of hoping anymore, johnny is at the top of my list and i am able to take one more year of pain. This is the best option i see,he has the talent and he needs to beef up some, but i think we should take him. Maybe im alone on this, but i want to get us back in the spot light and on top. I see no other way. It would draw alot of attention and get national coverage. Hey, if there is another way out i will listen, but i feel that this is a business and this will ignite the city and team. Please God dont let us pick 5th or 6th and have to trade or draft to move up. I cant hope we lose, but if we keep this up i am focusing on the first pick and i pick Manziel. If i am alone. So be it. I want us to become a good team. How far we have fallen. It hurts to love your team and see this happen. The days of tearing down a team and starting over are gone. Same for coaches. Its 2 to 3 years max. So maybe im wrong, but i like the idea and believe it will work. Kill me if u want, but my afternoon is gonna suck after we get beat down today. We are a joke. This is our team. And we deserve to be much better. So. If i have the first pick.......i want Johnny! And dont give me the too small short speech either. Please. He has the it factor. And we need the fire and passion. I think the coaches and upper management really think they are right, but i look at results. We are so bad. It just feels right. And if we are gonna lose almost every game. Then lose every game. So we control the draft. Now kill me and tell me how he would suck. I see a winner who throws the ball into tight windows has attitude. We need that. So i am hoping we get better, but if we dont over the next month. Then i want the first pick. One year plan. Not 3 to 5. We have waited much longer already. We are a joke and this is our team. Im tired of it. I want to get back on top and be a playoff team. Its time to accept we keep going backwards. I dont like this long term plan. What if its wrong. Then what? Lets suck one more year. Get a good draft glass, sign some real free agents and rise again!
Awful. Everything about this makes me want to vomit.
I'm with you on this. But we're outnumbered here. Many people have already decided he's a "system QB" and that will probably never change no matter how well Manziel plays.

Also outnumbered by every scout/draft expert on the planet.

Too many options. Any specific sites or anything you would like to see?

A link to the site that has every NFL scout's opinion of Johnny Manziel would do fine.
Or do scouts not publish that information?
Or we could just draft a guy who is far ahead of Manziel when it comes to pocket presence, arm strength, ball placement, and decision making...

Who said anything about NFL Scouts? "scout/draft expert" was referring to people who professionally scout players. Not people who actually work for NFL teams. Of course they don't publish this stuff.
Manziel isn't even going to go in the first round and you guys are going to look ridiculous.

I never made any claim of what round Manziel is going in. Manziel is a tough projection because NOBODY plays like him. I personally think he has qualities that directly translate to the way the NFL is today (where clean pockets are slowly going extinct). There's a lot of good QBs coming out this year other than Manziel. But I think teams that pass on him (in whatever round) will end up regretting it. Maybe 5 or 10 years ago I would have agreed with you, but the days of the 6'4 prototypical pocket passer ruling the NFL are coming to an end.

Manziel is a tough projection because no one knows how mature he is. He. and he alone, is the reason why he won't go in the first round.
No one wants a guy like that leading their squad.
I am a big Manziel guy as well. Kinda makes me hope we get the 2nd pick and end up with Clowney in first round and than go Manziel in the second round. I dont buy all the Teddy Bridgewater hype. The guy never plays anyone. Manziel reminds me of a faster Russell Wilson. Lets just hope Caldwell doesnt take a punter over him...

I'm sorry, but no. Two of Wilson's biggest assets are his maturity and his leadership ability. Not to mention his terrific accuracy. Nothing like Manziel

Are you insinuating that Manziel is inaccurate as a thrower? That is one of his strengths.
I agree with the Manziel Wilson comparison, to a point. That said Teddy is the top QB in the class.
I don't see Wilson in Manziel. I see a faster Flutie. I think he is much smaller than the 6'1 he is listed at A&M. And on a maturity scale, Wilson has always been off the charts and Manziel has a lot of room to grow there.

Manziel has great accuracy. Look at his completion percentage.
This idea that Manziel is mature is pretty lame as well. When you were 20 years old did you drink alcohol? He is just living his life. Just because he isn’t Tim Tebow doesn’t mean he isn’t mature. Look at guys like Jim Mcmahon, just because you’re out in the public eye doesn’t mean you cant be a good leader. Manziel plays with heart and intensity, something the Jags desperately need right now. His arrogance hopefully will rub off on some of the players and help bring us to a competitive level again.
Completion percentage doesn't tell the whole story Manziel gets bailed out alot by his receivers

Especially Mike Evans a.k.a. College Megatron

Look at Tim Tebow's completion percentage in college. Look at Blaine Gabbert's completion percentage in college.
Manziel plays in an Air Raid.
