He can throw so well and he is so accurate that he was available in week 2...... Stud!

He's better than what we have. That's an upgrade. It's only a matter of time he's running the offense.

He backed up Eli for 4 years. Then signed with the saints. He wasn't gonna beat Drew Brees out and they were gonna stick with their backup whose been in their system for like the last 3 years. He's not practice squad eligible and got cut like the 9th of September. The guy may actually be able to play. I'm not saying he's gonna win MVP but do I think he can complete 60% percent of his passes, complete passes in front of his receiver and operate the offense efficiently?

His college tape says that he can.
You know, there are plenty of liberal NFL towns, that would have no problem with Kap's stance. They would applaud it even. They haven't signed Kap either. In fact, the 49ers, who arguably play in the most liberal large city in the country, let Kap walk.

I don't think this has as much to do with Kap's politics as his ability.

He played in the most liberal town in the Nation - he didn't exactly get applauded there either.
This is the thread for political discussion surrounding Colin Kaepernick:

Please keep the political discussion out of the football forum.

Thank You.
Listening to Jaguars monday and Boselli (surprisingly I have to say considering how pro-team/staff decisions he usually is) doesn't really like the signing.

Why would he? Nassib is a never-been with zero chance to even ever become a has-been.

I don't disagree with that, but usually he's more front-office friendly when discussing FO decisions. He was basically laughing and a "come on...Nassib", saying that at this point they could have kept Allen (I don't disagree with this either).
That's what surprised me.

And at least we got a break from all the Kaep talk lol.
We can't have a football conversation where folks are stating facts because power hungry, fickle mods want to whine and complain.

FYI

We are still talking football. Not politics. Not once has anyone given there stance on the matter. We are simply stating why or why not set person hasn't been signed.

Take a chill pill. dang.

Oh, settle down.  I'm a regular poster here for many years. Being a mod only means trying to keeps threads in line with the rules every single one of us agree to when we log on.  There's no "power" in that and I'm certainly not whining or complaining.

There's a forum and a thread all ready to go about why said player isn't signed (besides his football skill).

Go there to talk about it. Those are the rules you agreed to.  It's incredibly simple.

Don't let a gentle reminder with a helpful link get you all bothered.

Ryan Nassib is the topic, BTW.
If Jaguars fans want Kap so bad, go to the stadium and let your voice be heard and not on game day.

Ryan Nassib.

That's the topic of the thread.  Get with it.

NYC4jags is just doing his job, give him a break. He does a good job at it or else we would have anarchy around here.

Well, three.  He's definitely not traveling to Jacksonville when he can just whine from 1000 miles away.

Whos whining? So if you show frustration for the team because they suck, that's whining?

When a poster has such a long and consistent history of complaining about every little thing the team does (and things it doesn't do) like yourself, yes, I believe it constitutes "whining."

You are incredibly negative about almost everything Jags related and it's annoying, but you're entitled to your opinions and free to express them here. It's no big deal. I'm not mad at you. Mildly annoyed at times, maybe.

It would be nice if you'd at least complain about Nassib in the Nassib thread instead of Kaepernick though.

Do you think Nassib would have a better comp % than Bortles if he somehow found his way on to the field this season and was asked to be a dink and dunk game manager with a few shots downfield?

Thing is the team doesn't suck.  I'm not griping about it being a coaching or game plan issue because we are limited at the QB position.  I think we have more of a front office problem.

This signing seems more like a woobi/security blanket signing.

It looks more like a final warning to Bortles to me.  The front office is showing that the wheels are in motion for his permanent benching or outright departure from the team.  They're bringing Nassib in to back up Henne who is probably one Bortles stinker away from being handed the job.  Nassib may take the job from Henne in a couple of weeks after he's brought up to speed.  Not that Nassib or Henne are likely substantial upgrades to Bortles, but at some point they have to make the executive decision that Bortles and his potential $19 million dollar salary next year are no longer in their plans and when they do he's not winning the job back or having it handed back to him due to a Henne injury.  He'll be done here at that point and you're going to need another QB that's up to speed already either to start or back Henne up.

You are the first to post something if they play poorly but you're one of the last to comment when they play well.

Exactly, BB5 has probably started his last game at The Bank as a Jaguar. Henne will have an lose the job in about 5 weeks and Nassib will be here to keep fans mildly interested until Christmas.
