Mayor Khan has also said that he would like his city to eventually land an NFL franchise.

"The dream is to have a permanent NFL franchise based here," Khan said. "There are a couple of teams interested -- it takes 75 percent of the 32 teams to vote for it, if it's to happen."

Guess we should enjoy it while we have it.

Also "I've been saying since the first day I became mayor my ambition is to have more American football games in London and ultimately for there to be a franchise there and, dare I say it, even the Super Bowl," Khan said. "I met recently one of the owners of the Jacksonville Jaguars, Shahid Khan. I've met the NFL commissioner on a number of occasions, most recently at the game at Twickenham this year and my team is working very closely with the NFL."

Put the pieces together, he has only met a couple owners and some of them are interested in moving, I think its pretty obvious its us.

Interesting that the source article (which was before Khan offered on Wembley) mentions the NFL being excited about the new " new Tottenham Hotspur stadium " and agreeing already to a 10 year contract to play 2 games a year there. Khan offering on Wembley after this contract is already done looks like a turf war for London now. https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/news/mayor...-his-city/

Just stop. I think we can all agree Shad is a savvy business man. What kind of sense does it make for him to invest in a city, then move the team making that investment worthless. Seems like a really bad business move. Im so tired of people like you posting this kind of stuff. I really hope you are just a troll because if not I feel sorry for y

So, a couple teams have openly discussed moving with the Mayor of London, but these teams haven't otherwise openly discussed their interest in moving? I'm guessing that Mayor Khan is speculating that they're "interested" because they considered the idea. Or maybe they feign interest to be courteous.

I can't imagine a situation where you'd move a team from the only town its ever known to a country with minimal interest in the sport. Besides, you'd be flying between 8-12 hours every other week. That's about a day each week you play away. I think Khan realizes the team's support comes from Jacksonville. I wouldn't stress this too much.
If the mayor of London's last name is also Khan, this thread is already way too confusing for me to participate.
The Jags are not going to London. If any team goes, it will be the Bills.
People are quick to forget he owns a Champions League team in Fulham FC (was EPL when he bought them) i think the Wembley purchase is about upgrading Fulhams stadium and facilities the same way as when he put up the video boards in Jacksonville etc.

People are really overthinking this. The teams lease runs through 2029, it would be very very very to the umpteenth degree difficult to relocate the team prior ti tht date. I think its more likely that London gets an expansion franchise than a relocated team in all honesty, it would be hard to get all the players, staff etc on board with a work move to a foreign country.

Exactly -- the quoted statement was from London's Mayor Khan, now Shad Khan !!!

Your grammatical error has caused even more confusion.

Fulham will not be playing at Wembley. They have their own London stadium with a very deep history and Shad is adding seats to it.

Also, it will not be "very very very to the umpteenth degree difficult to relocate the team" prior to 2029. Mr. Khan could do it in 2 minutes by simply writing a check. That doesn't sound very "umpteenth" to me.
Just to clear things up... Shere Khan is a Bengal not a Jaguar.
Wait, I thought we were discussing Chaka Khan. She owns the NFL.

Yeah but she reports up to the Decepta Khans.
I was tripping out when I read Khan said he spoke with Khan, then I realized the mayor is Kahn as well ?

I'm not sure how this ties into Wembley stadium but here are his thoughts ...
