Which quarterbacks currently make that list?

Of the draft eligible quarterbacks, I'd say nobody knows for sure which guy(s) if any, will be able to do this. For whatever reason, the Jaguars have basically struck out with their 1st round quarterbacks. They have a lot of company, though, when it comes to teams drafting busts at this position in the 1st round. I just hope the football Gods decide that next year the Jaguars will be the team that strikes gold like the Chiefs did a few years back with Mahomes.

He's good, but he's not as good as people seem to think he is.
Here we go again.

Luck took a 1 win team to 11 wins the very next season. He has had the absolute worst Oline pretty much his entire career. TY Hilton and..... Who? He's made Ebron into a pro bowl TE. He's also done this with a consistently bad defense and no running game. He had 1 bad game against the Jags and that's the example you bring up? What about the first time he played the Jags? Was he shut out then or did he torch them? Right before his injury, he threw for almost 4,800 yards and 40 TDs.

Luck is a top 10 QB. Brees, Brady, Rodgers, Ben..... I'd take Luck over almost any other QB in this league. Including Mahomes and Goff.

Thank you. I don't know why so many on here try to downgrade Luck. Do they not know we can see his games?

Luck has done more with less than any other excellent QB I can think of.

I guess it's because Luck is in the AFC South. You see the same efforts being made to denigrate Watson and Marriota as well. I guess it's quarterback envy. Which is understandable.

We're going to have to wait for a few years - until he proves he can't hit a curve ball. Or he can't find the strike zone. Which is it? I don't even know what baseball position he plays.

Perhaps we'll see him play the Jumbo Shrimp.

At 5'9, I just don't see him making it in the NFL as a QB

I mean, I'd take Luck on our team in an instant, but that doesn't change the fact that he's overrated.  He's a top 10 QB, but people like to put him in the top 3, and he isn't.

As for Watson, I still don't buy him. He was awful early, and now that the schedule's a lot easier, he's balling. He's maybe a top 20 QB.

Mariota is not good. I don't care what anyone says.

Nobody says Luck is top 3. Watsons first 16 games as an NFL QB have been historically good

I honestly don't get the dismissiveness toward Luck.

I bet if you polled 100 Jag fans and ask them if they'd take Andrew Luck right now, it would be a landslide for Luck.  His injury history aside, Luck has been one of the to QBs in the league since entering the NFL.  You're absolutely right.  He's done pretty amazing things despite having had to deal with no defense for most of his career, little running game, and an offensive line that has only recently proven to be effective.

I'd take a QB who can succeed despite challenges surrounding him.  We've been living with one who needs everything around him to be humming along at or near perfection.  As soon as there's a little bit of adversity, he reverts to pretty much every bad habit that has limited his success for 4 years.  We're due for a guy who can rise above the challenges.
Make a trade for Nick Foles and take another swing at QB in the draft..... again.

Foles will be a free agent and the trade deadline is past

That just might be the best option for us. Sign Foles as the starter for 2019 and draft a QB of the future.

Foles is nothing special.

No, he's not, but we will need a bridge QB for whatever rookie we start and given the limited options we're gonna have, he's probably the best option. Nobody is gonna give us Drew Brees or Tom Brady. There will be several castoffs from other teams that we're gonna have to choose from. That's just the reality of the situation. True veteran, franchise QB's rarely become available and when they do, you better have deep pockets. That is not an option for us. We have to take what is available off the scrap heap and try to find our franchise QB via the draft.

I meant trade for Foles in the offseason and I didn't realize he was going to a free agent, that's even better. Bring him in and dangle the starting job on a 2-3 year deal and see if he bites.
Ugh.... Foles....
There are no viable QB options this coming offseason. This season is morphing into Garrard's final years with everyone calling for a QB change and then it happens...everyone wanted him back. And the search is apparently still ongoing.

Correct and the days of WR Dennis Northcutt......  the good old days....

Cant remember the WR that made the last second 50 yard catch against the Texans to end the game. I would have to look him up....I was at that game with my wife and 2 kids...
