At his age? 4.97 is pretty sluggish.
Brady ran a 5.28.
Rivers ran a 5.08
Eli ran a 4.9
Peyton ran a 4.8
Big Ben ran a 4.7
He's in pretty good company.
On the Wonderlic Peyton scored a 28
Brady was a 33
GM15 scored a 42.
I think we're gonna be fine.

QBs who can't QB need to be fast to make up with their legs what they lack in their arm and head.
Minshew doesn't need speed... since he just drops dimes and puts the ball on the money on time and quickly.
I too think we'll be fine.
When the hell is Josh Oliver going to start playing? Really want to see if he'll add anything to the passing game already with Minshew.
Let’s not forget GM led all RBs combined in rushing during the Texan game! Our RBs are nonessential component given their status this season. I say jettison the Running game. Five wide receiver sets send them all down the field and open up running lanes for Minshew to post up on nickel and dime packages. That ought to wreak some serious havoc to any DC facing a QB who is not intimidated, who is just as dangerous out of the pocket passing as he is in it, and those legs you certainly can count on them, despite the lack of 40 yard dash numbers you look for in a receiver or DB. I don’t expect Minshew to spend much time working on the mechanics of pulling off a great 40 time. That’s an irrelevant benchmark IMO.
I prefer my running game to be established out of the dime and nickel package than a stacked box! But that’s just me...

That has been frustrating me too. There are potential weapons we are not seeing. At this point Minshew seems to show enough poise to throw a few more untested rookies into the mix. We need a change of pace back.

Yeah I know, and I wasn't concerned about Minshew in the least. Juuuuuuuuust trying to chop it up a little.
I'm telling you, Gardner Minshew is a Protected Player. Do not sack him unless you wanna get ejected or maybe banned for life.
If only we can get the offensive scheme to protect him better!

Stop it. We could get better blocking from some the interior but the offensive scheme since Flip took over is great.

This has been a thought of mine. He’s quickly becoming the golden child hype kid of the NFL. I certainly felt like the penalties called against Titans mostly fell our way. If he continues, I could see the NFL letting us go all the way. Put this kid on everything...cereal boxes...beer cans..
24th ranked passing offense, yet the scheme is great? LMAO, so not a pedantic response at all HB!
Bottom line
We have the wrong person at the chess table moving the pieces around!

You should know that after the 3rd game that stats are preliminary. Wait, I'm assuming to much, you may not know that. You have a rookie, 6th round QB with a relatively ineffective running back and the team has the 24th ranked passing offense. That's actually good bro. Wait until he gets a little experience working with his receivers!
He needs one more game today for me to be all in on him.
