Whether it works out fabulously, or ends up in flames it’s still his company and he can do whatever he wants. Which is the point everyone else but you seemed to grasp rather easily.

Jack sure did whatever the hell he wanted when he owned Twitter lolol

But that apparently is just peachy keen… Rolleyes
I read a NYTs article today attempting to paint Musk's concentrated efforts with Twitter for the last few weeks as detrimental to Tesla since he in unable to give it enough attention. It was another thinly veiled attempt at undermining Musk because the left hate him now.

However, the article described Musk's role at Twitter as a "stewardship". Hmmm...

Curious if they ever described as that before he bought it.

It's been known he is looking for a CEO since he fired all of the board. The issue now is that most of the CEO level people won't take the job as they don't want to hurt their image. There's way too much going on behind the scenes between the c suite and boards. Whoever takes it won't be invited to the parties, won't be on other boards collecting a large paycheck for nothing, and will limit their career options. It will have to be someone who is older, not experienced enough, or they are principled and don't care.

The idea that the highest good of business is profit is an ethical postulate.  But at least you acknowledge the possibility that Musk's actions will end up bad, which is my point.

No it's really not.

I think he's been watching too many Hallmark movies.

If you ever started a thread about Jack Dorsey, I would have some negative comments there as well.

Did I ever say he couldn't do the things he has been doing?
Just because I criticize someone doesn't mean I want them to go to jail.
Speaking of jail, you are aware that Twitter is subject to a consent decree, yes? So neither Dorsey nor Elon were really able to do "whatever he wants."
I can't speak for others, but I did bring up how Twitter was being run when Dorsey owned it. You said we should make a new twitter. IF you had any consistency, you'd be urging others to go make a new twitter... not demanding Elon stop trolling.

If Elon continues down the path he's on, liberals will make a new Twitter.
If there was a liberal Twitter user here complaining about it, I would tell that person to make their own.
I have not posted on Twitter in over a decade. I check some journalists' feeds every morning. I spend about 5 minutes on that.

That must have been difficult for you, but congratulations.  Admission is the first step to recovery.
Who cares what Musk does with Twitter? If he runs it into the ground so be it.
Never underestimate a man who overestimates himself.

Other than mikesez?  Nobody that I know of.

The thread has 15 pages, and most of the comments aren't mine and aren't in reply to me.
Lots of folks here care.

Are you really that self unaware?

I said my point was that Musk owning Twitter might end badly, post 279.
FSG said that wasn't my point, post 286.
I asked him to tell me what my point is, obviously sarcastically, post 289.
Sneakers said I admitted something, post 291.

What did I admit? I made a sarcastic joke.

It was the liberal brainwashing or MKUltra (if true). They have now lost the ability to just make statements, have bots all tweet it out, and get no other viewpoints other than approvals.

They are being fact checked on everything now and they have no reply other than to yell and complain of people going to die because someone said something.
