It's not about wins and losses.  That's the most losing mentality you could have.  What the hell is it about then?  Wish I made millions of dollars to suck at my job.

Jeff Lageman doesn't take shots at people.  He is generally a very fair minded guy.  I can remember him saying very clearly "STOP THROWING THE BALL TO MARCEDES LEWIS!"  When Jeff gives up on you, then you know its time to go.

BEST JAGUAR EVER.....
Probably better just to not say anything Marcedes.

Makes you wonder.  Do you think players come and read the Jaguars message boards here?  lolol

Quote:It doesn't matter what we think?  Um, really Lewis?  We are the ones that make your paycheck possible you bafoon.
Well....Mr Lewis....Right now I'm thinking I might let my seats go next year since you guys don't think its about winning or losing.

Wake me up when it's all over.....this process I mean.

That final paragraph from the article is sickening. He's rationalizing the Gus Bradley coaching paradigm.

Winning isn't as important as the process? Wrong. Winning validates the process. If you are losing, you change the process.

Gus Bradley's coaching philosophy is great for the "yes men" on the team. As long as the players buy into this winning isn't important, just trust the process paradigm, then there is no accountability.

The grind? You mean the grind every freaking player on every freaking team goes through? You're going to complain about your grind as though you and this team are special? Every team grinds you fool!!!!

I'm sorry, but this mentality is a virus in the locker room. The belief that winning isn't important is contagious and it needs to be eradicated from the team. Unfortunately, this disease is being forced on this team by the head coach.

It doesn't matter how many great players are being drafted, or brought in via fee agency, if they are being indoctrinated to believe the process the coaches are putting them through is more important than winning, you create losers.

We have a coach who is creating losers. The sooner he's fired, the better. He is now literally doing more harm than good.

They might not, but I know their friends and families read these boards.

coffee... it helps you do stupid things faster with more energy. I guess M. Lewis has had his...
This is not the case of a tweet that is blown out of proportion.  He seriously reiterated the losing mentality multiple times.  If that's honestly how the players on the team feel, we've already conceded losing.  I know it shouldn't make me angry to hear this but I can't think of a quote from a player that is more infuriating.  I'd cut his butt TODAY if I was Caldwell.  Lewis is not good, he's expensive, and he's got a loser mentality.  Vince Lombardi would be rolling around in his grave right now if he had to hear this.

LOUD NOISES!!!!!!!!!!!!

So im not out there " in the grind huh?"

I live i califrnia. I work my [BLEEP] off in construction to keep a decent home for my kids and have good food for them to eat.

I live pay check to pay check.

AND I GROUND MY [BLEEP] OFF to come up with the $300 to pay for NFL season ticket to watch....

You drop passes like their hot rocks.

GRIND THAT FAT BOY LEWIS

I CANT BELIEVE LEWIS MAN.

THEY SHOULD LET HIM SPEND THE NEXT OFFSEASON AS MY APPRENTICE CARPENTER.

HE WOULDN'T SHOW UP TO CAMP FATTER THAN A $25 PORK CHOP IF THEY DID AND THEN HE WOULD KNOW WHAT A REAL "PROCESS" IS.

THE PROCESS OF ME KICKING HIS [BLEEP] EVERY DAY OVER THE $300 I SPENT FOR NFL SEASON GAMES FROM DIRECT TV TO WATCH HIS FAT [BLEEP] DROP PASSES.
He is a loser. Just like his coach. Winning is all matters you [BLEEP] !

Who cares. He's gone after this year.

It is definitely a weird dynamic. One thing I wonder is if guys like TJ Yeldon, Rashad Greene and Michael Bennett feel that coming from college programs where losing even one game in a year is considered unacceptable.

Yes, exactly. That's the point I'm trying to make.

This philosophy, and the stupidity that the idiot TE just said about the process being more important than winning, has been internalized via months and years of the head coach saying that winning is not the point of what they are doing.

This clearly has rubbed off on the vets that have been here since year 1 of this failed philosophical coaching experiment.

You don't want this mentality to infect those younger players. You got to fire this guy, the sooner the better.

Also, does this not make you wonder if the house benching is based on the fact that house came from a winning culture, and he's beginning to push back on the coaching staff? Just a thought that jumped into my head.
I get it,i don't know about anyone else, but i understand what hes saying.  Of course the team wants to win, they play hard every week. His point is fans need to stand by team win,or lose. He was saying if the team can't stick to the process they are taught then they won't ever learn to play togather as a team. If they stick togather with the process the wins will get here someday rather its this year, next year or 50 years from now.

I know there's something I should be outraged about with this article.

The process, dude hasn't been a part of a winning team in 8 years.

I could understand if we were the Lions, with a underperforming team that went to the playoffs the last two seasons, but it has been EIGHT years.

His example of "Duval til we win" is looking like the same phrase as "Duval til we die".

This, dead [BLEEP] on. I remember John Madden saying that at the NFL level the game is 90% mental, because everyone is physically gifted. With this mindset, no wonder we are 8-30 because its OK! What a dumpster fire.
