The % of the cap that is generated by ticket sales or merchandising is minuscule.  TV contracts are the primary driver, and that's determined by the advertisers willingness to fork over untold billions.  That's who pays the vast majority of their salaries, but hey, if you feel like you can go to a player and demand a refund of your 2 cents if they don't play up to your expectations, go for it.

I know it's confusing for some of you to differentiate between patience and being a blind homer.  I doubt there's anything I could possibly say that's going to enlighten you.  I could try typing slower, but that's just wasting my time. 

 

When someone says let the process play itself out, you see homer.  I don't.  That's probably because I'm capable of thinking big picture, and you're not.

No flailing.  The fans haven't gone anywhere.  In fact, despite the difficulties this team has endured in recent years, they keep buying tickets and merchandise, and they keep watching the games.  Don't confuse a small, whining minority for the entire fan base.

I'm not the pitchfork type, try again.  I do see you for what you are, it's blindly backing everything this team does, then belittling others when they disagree.  You've been doing that for years and years, yet you say you see big picture?  Why does the team still suck then, mister all-knowing?

I have a strong theory that I need to do a hypothesis on.

 

I believe some people on here feel they have a future in the Jaguar organization and feel like their message board transcripts will be reviewed during the interview process.

 

I wholeheartedly believe this theory is correct. It is the only way to explain things that go on in these parts.

You really don't understand at all how it works.  There is NO salary cap if there are no fans.  There is no TV revenue if there are no fans.  No advertisers pay billions to advertise for an event that no one is watching.  Again, please think.

You don't listen to a thing the person is saying.  You imagine a false point in your brain that's easy for you to defeat and then you go at it like a dog in heat.

 

The point was, IF THERE ARE NO FANS, THERE IS NO MONEY.  We're not saying that's the reality of how things are currently, we're saying Lewis needs to remember who is responsible for paying his checks.

Don't waste your time with this guy. It's better to just jab here or there but don't go round and round. He will bog you down with idiocracy to the point that you'll forget the original argument and that's exactly what he wants to happen. He wants take take the focus off of what the real issue is. And that's the fact that our idiot tight end told the fans to be quiet and support the so called process. The fact that this is a scrub player taking shots at the fans with a failed coaches mantra. A coach that is focusing on a so called process and has his team believing in it all the way till they take a deadly cocktail on the way to meet their leader on the planet of zoltar. He's brainwashing these guys with a failed message and Mercedes is ticked that we don't understand. All the meanwhile fbt is living vicariously through our coach and gets butt hurt when we don't conform like good little soldiers.

The process is to just play (not to win or lose)....just play... and eventually you'll win one.

All good points.  I am pretty new here, and I suppose I thought FBT would have the capacity to process things and think.  I mean i've been on tons of forums for years and I should have spotted it already.  I saw right off the bat that he never contributed anything to the conversation, and more often than not completely derailed the topic to try to make it focus on himself.  I don't know if it's pure narcissism or being a homer like others have mentioned.  I suppose it ultimately doesn't matter.  Is there an ignore function on this forum?

marcedes is terrible and is getting paid a ton of money to have balls bounce off his hands.... if i wanted to see that i could go downtown in an alley and not get upset when the jaguars lose by 30. i hope he isnt with the team next season.

I really do get where he's coming from. I don't think fans like to be told to be quiet, but I can understand a player's frustration. They know we've been bad, they don't want to hear it when they're living it.


That being said, poor choice of words and lack of tact for sure. Probably would have been better for him to not say anything.

I was just thinking.... it is pretty amazing that this guy has 60K posts in 14 years. I have been a member here for 10 years and I feel like I post a lot and still haven't even hit 10K.

 

I can't even imagine the time it would take to post 60K posts, 90% of which include insulting other people. That is pretty amazing when you think about it.
