Quote:I know there's something I should be outraged about with this article.

No, if you've reached apathy, then there's nothing to worry about or be outraged about.

I mean, the hc will be fired soon, and I doubt the TE will be here muck longer either.

To the apathetic, none of what happens this season matters. So why be outraged?
what do you all not understand what hes saying. We are fans,we are supposse to stick with the team no matter what happens. Win,lose,or Tie? I want Jags to win just as much as everyone else does. All Lewis is doing is reminding us to stick by our team, even though the hard times like now. that doesn't mean you can't be dispointed after a loss,it just means to support the team even in a loss.

I honestly couldn't care less what Marcedes Lewis has to say on any subject.

Some folks here take this stuff way too personally.

Some will take anything personally. But can you at least admit what he said was dumb?
Maybe he was alluding to the 25000 empty seats at the game last Sunday. In a sense, he is correct. I find the majority of the Jags "Fans" as soft as the ice cream they are always joking about.

Quote:Yeah we know Marcedes... we've known this since JDR was fired.

It's just frustrating to know that the Jaguars have only had 12 wins since JDR left 3 1/2 years ago.

Correct -- since JDRs firing on Nov 29, 2011 the Jags have won 12 games. I just double checked....

I get more and more depressed every day.

Of course it was stupid, but so what? Is that something I should be outraged about because he's supporting his team and his coach? Rabble rabble!!!
If this means they still believe in the coaching staff, it's a positive I guess...

oh I have sent Lewis serveal twits this morning BTW.

Has he twitted you back?
The fans are the reason he can't catch a pass.

I don't think that many people are outraged. But it's worth pointing out that Lewis is coming across as an idiot here.

When he makes asinine comments about the fans and that it doesn't matter what we think, despite the fact the we pay for him to be wealthy beyond imagination, yes, you should care.
Lewis is not good, never has been. I can guarantee you he has never been accused of being the brightest bulb in the pack. I don't see why folks are upset about it. Unless maybe they are one of the fans he is talking about. We all know them and read their garbage here daily. The ones who's support is dependent on W/L record only.

You're sending him checks? I know I'm not.

Lewis is entitled to say whatever he wants. That's his right. If he wants to tell the fans to support the team, that's certainly his prerogative, just as it's yours to disagree with him.

There are people in this thread who are angry about the comments, as if he said it directly to them.

If you are a fan of this team, he did kind of say it directly to us. Did he go door to door to tell us? No.

I don't think anybody is "angry" or "outraged", but probably more befuddled that a team in the position they are in has the nerve to call fans out.
I just came to this thread for the free pizza! Who's got it?! Don't be stingy!

I completely agree. In fact, I would go further and say I would not mind if they never interview another athlete again for the rest of my life. They either spout empty pablum their agents have taught them to say, in order to avoid any controversy at all, or they say something stupid and the fans and the media seize on it and get all mad about it. There is nothing to be gained from interviewing a player.

Now, as for what he said, I think he's just expressing his frustration with the whole situation.

Everytime you buy a ticket or watch him on TV, that's precisely what you're doing.
