27-10 Jags. Bortles 300 yards 3 TDs. Book it.
21-16 Panthers.

I hope I'm wrong, I just don't see us scoring much on that front 7. You can say we attack the defensive backs but we might be missing Lee, Hurns can only catch with his body, and Robinson new nickname I saw was Dropinson. Did I mention no Juluis Thomas? TJ Yeldon hasn't flashed or done much to be a starter. I hope Yeldon proves me wrong. Defense is a mess right now. We lose Fowler and now Branch. Marks won't even start game one and Skuta hasn't lived up to the hype for OTTO. Sample might start at FS, he looked great in week 4. Cyprien is coming back but I hope he has improved. House and Colvin hopefully can hold down the WR since Benjamin is not playing. I can see one TD by the offense and 3 field goals. I will for sure be rooting to win of course but from what Ive seen with injuries and inexperience, I don't think we can beat the Panthers.

Jaguars offense will look very good, especially in the first half.

Jaguars defense will not look very good, particularly in the 2nd half.

I say a close one: 27-23 either way
Jags haven't scored more that 25 since December 2013, no chance you eclipse that mark against a top defense.

Henne > Scam Newton
21-20 Panthers

Your defense ranked 17th in points allowed and 23rd in rushing yards allowed. Quit acting like your defense is the 85 bears.
I haven't expected the Jaguars to actually win a game since 2009. That won't change until they show me they can not get blown out by 30 points in consecutive games to start the season before finally, finally pulling it together at the bye.

It's a trend that needs to stop with Gus.

13-16 Jags.

Jaguars 24 Panthers 14

I'm going to cautiously ride the Bortles preseason play hype train into week 1 and say he finally carries it over and puts on a solid performance, while on the other side of the ball Cam Newton (Who imo isn't nearly as good as people praise him to be) will be playing with absolutely nobody at WR, his only true threat is TE Greg Olsen, and if the Jaguars are smart they will stick a CB on him all game to keep him under controll.

In my mind, truely unbiased opinion I believe we are the favorites in this game.. only time will tell.

GO JAGS

Im with You. I too believe we should win. #DTWD
I was going to say Panthers in a close one, but since those Panther fans came in here talking smack, and I know they are reading this right now, I'm going to go Jaguars 27 Panthers 17!

Bortles continues his surprising play!

LOVE THIS ^^^^^^^^

Let the games begin....

#DTWD
31-20 Panthers

Bortles - 20-37  270 1 TD, 1 Int

Yeldon - 15 caries, 55 yds, 1 TD, 1 Fumble

Meyers - 2 FG
Jaguars 31 Panthers 20

Bortles 310 yds 25 rush

Yeldon 86 yrds rushing 45yds rec

Hurns and AR15 each go over 100yds

I think the Jags  go out strong they have the lead at the Half unlike the past they do not get conservative and continue to pour it on

My updated prediction..

I have just completed a quick look at the "state of the panthers".

1. they appear to be "soft".

I found ZERO players I would call big hitters.

JAGS HAVE GUYS EVERYWHERE WHO WILL PUNISH THE OTHER TEAM ( see O'Dell Beckham from pre season)

2. the Panthers have what appears to be a strong front d line, but they also appear to have a very suspect defense behind the front 7.

WE WILL FIND A WAY TO GET OUR GUYS THE BALL BEHIND THEIR LINE.

(SEE GRANTS TD RUN,SEE ALL THE QUICK THROWS IN OUR PS OFFENSE SCHEME )

3. it appears our defense will match up well against their offense. the only question mark to me is can we stop their qb from making something from nothing.

I predict we smash him.

so therefore....

I PREDICT WE SMASH THE PANTHERS

Our defense would need to suprise us to give us a chance, and our offensive line would have to win the LOS. Good first test for week 1

If we score 44 I will be ecstatic. I think it will be a little closer but hell if they do not count on the run as much with our receivers I can see us scoring quite a bit. I think If the Jags come out and start pushing the ball down the field it is going to be a long day for the Panthers.
