Just so long as they cover the spread... it really doesn't matter.

Jaguars 13

Panthers 12

Go jaguars!
Quote:I'm skeptical of Bradley. If there's no major  improvement this year I'll be calling for a new head coach. The excuse for the defense is that the offense hasn't exactly run up the time of possession for them to catch their breath, but a lot of the defensive breakdowns last season occurred on the first two possessions after the half. The defense did improve significantly in the 2nd half of last season after Bradley took over the defensive play calling.
I agree.  There has to be more wins and a sure sign of growth.  If you don't see atleast 6 wins or see the team competitive it's time to look elsewhere.

With only six wins the team had damn well better look competitive. No, if they get six wins and a bunch of uncompetitive losses to decent teams then it's time for some fresh blood. Three years is long enough to make a team minimally competitive. That we're talking about .500 football as something to aspire to says terrible things about just how bad we have it.

I will agree this team should be competitive in every game.  If there is a repeat of embarrassing losses that coaches seat should be boiling.

Even good teams can get blown out so a big loss or two isn't a huge deal. I just hope half our game aren't over at halftime or we start 0-8 again. Some close games against elite teams and a signature win or two would convince me the team is heading in the right direction.
Jaguars: 392

Panthers: 4

Blake Bortles breaks the single season TD record in a single game.  Everyone who starts in him Fantasy automatically win their matchups, though most of them are pretty upset with Gus's decision to sit him at the start of the third quarter, wherein Henne gives up two safeties to the dangerous Panthers Defense.  Jags fans are unsure if it was Joeckel's fault or Henne's.  Most blame both.  I'd know.  I'm a timelord, and I've already seen the future.  If none of this comes to happen, blame the Daleks.  It's always the Daleks.

I will predict that if Carolina is to win they will have to score more than 27 points.

There's a site that lists all of the NFL media picks. I was pleasantly surprised to see that 45 percent of them are picking the Jaguars to win this game. Most of their games are largely one sided, but there's only one game, the Chiefs at Texans, that is closer to 50/50...

There are quite a few interesting names picking the Jaguars. To name just a few...

Adam Caplan

Alex Marvez

Boomer Esiason

Chris Mortensen

Cris Carter

Don Banks

Mike Florio

Ron Jaworski

Ross Tucker

Tom Pelissero

Pete Prisco

Quote: D6 thank you so much for the kind words. What you said to me is one of the reasons your one of our favorite posters thats not a jags fan first. your honest, you understand when people are haveing a hard time. I will find a way to get myself pumped up before sunday.  I am expecting the jags to lose thier first few games, and not win until they play texans anyways. I did say 6-10,and i still belieave that. unforttanttly i think panthers will be a lose.

 My pleasure, Snowwolf.

For what it's worth,  I also went with a 6-10 prediction for the Jaguars this season.   I expect the team's Offense to be noticeably improved over the course of the long season.   With the expectation that in 2016,  the Jags will have very realistic expectations for a playoff spot.

As for today's game,  I'm predicting the Panthers to win 20-17.   But it wouldn't surprise me in the least if the Jags pulled this one out.  It should a close game either way,  with OT something that's not hard to envision.
Quote:You know through all the competition of playing against each other I still don't hate the Panthers. They're our expansion brother.
Yeah... they're our brother....

Its here, and im pumped. Any given sunday, lets go jags!!!!!!!

Quote:21-20 Panthers

Damn even though I predicted a loss I was actually being optimistic in the score. I wen't back to almost every prediction thread since this new board came up, and I have never predicted the jags to score 20 points or more lol.
ok.

opening my mouth

inserting crow.

I said we'd win by 14.

sucks to be me..

Weeeeeeeeee

suuuuuuuck
Quote:Panthers defense is the story of the game, generating three turnovers and setting up the Carolina offense with great field position.

Panthers win 24-10

I wasn't too far off. Not coming back to rub it in, it was a hard nosed game for four quarters.

I was impressed by the Jags defense and TJ Yeldon. Yeldon is going to be a star...he was breaking ankles left and right.

Bortles looked scared once the bullets started flying. I counted at least three passes in the endzone that he sailed, seemingly because he didn't want to be picked off. You've got to at least give the WR a chance. Plus Bortles post game comments were pretty classless. "It wasn't anything they did' Bortles said. Welp, yes it was Blakey. Suck it up, give the other team credit for whipping your butt and move on. Don't be an entitled prick like a Colin Kaepernick.

The game day experience at "The Bank" was one of the best I've ever had. Kudos to the Jags for everything they do to make it so much fun. Loved the big video boards and all the activities outside the stadium.
p-r-i-c-k is a bad word here?

wow

I am thoroughly disappointed in our performance in this game.

I predicted a blow out in Our favor.

BOY WAS I WRONG

Probably best to not talk about class with this out there.
