Whatever you want to believe, our GM is a career talent evaluator with a nice collection of SB rings. I'll side with him. Shaq had been playing lights out. He went stride for stride with a TE and broke up a pass in the endzone, he's shown great sideline to sideline speed that already has him with several tackles behind the LOS and he'd been effective rushing the passer. Now that he's not playing several position and gets to focus on LB he looks like the second coming of Thomas Davis, which would be a dream come true for the Panthers.

Kelvin has already had his career year. It's never good news when a player peaks after just one season.

Charles Tillman | CAR
(September 7, 2015 1:20 PM EDT)
Panthers CBs Charles Tillman and Josh Norman remain in the NFL's concussion protocol.
Tillman and Norman are Carolina's starting outside cornerbacks. They need to get medically cleared to be available for Week 1 against Jacksonville. If one or both can't play, Allen Robinson's Opening Day matchup would be upgraded.

ARob and Hurns gonna go off if these guys don't get cleared.

Tillman was apparently just cleared and Norman looked fine at practice, expects to be cleared soon. I expect both to be fully healthy Sunday.

Preseason, actually. It was a Pro Bowl TE and 40 yards down field... I'm not worried at all about Shaq, especially lined up beside the best 43 LB tandem in the league

The defensive staff has been up for weeks trying to figure out how they will manage to contain Philly Brown!!!!

added even if you have 4.2 speed when a guys seen 6 teams in 8 years you're doing something wrong

We held ODB to 90 yards last year. Impressive considering we were 1 of 4 teams to keep him 90 yards or less. The other 2 being playoff teams and the Falcons. And we did shut him down this pre-season.
Same with Brown. We held him to 84 yards. Only 2 teams to hold him to less were KC and the Jets. Chiefs are a playoff team and the Jets defense is no joke.
Granted, it's clearly not shut down completely but for the standards that those 2 receivers set it's nothing to take lightly. Our secondary has gotten even better with the addition of Davon House as well. Not to mention, Sergio Brown. Josh Evans was our FS last year and we managed to hold up like that.
