Quote:By your definition, most every backup is "trash". Hell, you have teams starting guys like Luke McCown, Ryan Fitzpatrick, Tyrod Taylor and Brian Hoyer. Talk about trash.
It's clear we haven't watched the same Henne. Fitzpatrick, Hoyer, Taylor, and Cassel all look better than him.

Not true. You made me laugh yesterday when you told me Joeckel is better than Parnell and brought up PFF grades. What a great time.

Henne isn't good. Neither are any of them. Taylor has wheels. That is about the only thing he has.
Quote:Chenne

18-35 career

5-17 in Jax

Bortles

3-10

At least you were right about it being your problem.  Of course your starter will win you more games than your backup.

It's kinda why they're the backup... and not the starter.

While he isn't likely to win as many games, the "we lose instantly" quip is more descriptive of your insecurity and fear than reality.  This team is better than the ones Henne was running to a 5-17 record.  It's also better than the one Bortles ran to a 3-10 record.

Are we having a bad armchair GM moment to think it wouldn't have been addressed if it's so pressing?  QB is the most important position, after all.
There's a reason why the majority here think Chenne is garbage. It's okay though, keep defending him and tell me how much of a wonderful backup he is. When he gets cut you'll just say "Well he wasn't that good anyway."
Fitzpatrick has never won more than 6 games in a season and has a career record of 33-55.

That's one more attribute than CHAD HENNE has.

Still better than Chenne. Who cares about records? With that logic, Bortles is terrible and Henne is 10x better because #WINS. No one has been able to tell me what makes Henne good though. Just throwing out records doesn't make him better. Someone try to give me reasons, bet you can't find any. The highlight of his pre-season was fumbling on the goal-line.

Cry for me.  Keep crying.  It suits you.
Who said Henne is "good"?

Is this one of those things where if you don't post some idiotic thing about Henne should be cut or call him garbage that means you think he's good?

Keep lying to yourself. Defend the Chenne at all cost.

It's the people here that deny he's bad, and think he's a good backup to have. The guy is a straight up loser on the field and we're completely screwed if Bortles gets hurt. The Jags FO won't do anything about it this season, but its just funny to see comments defending him and throwing out his W/L record. As if that matters.

Most every team in the league is screwed if their starter is injured. Do you not get that?

Not true at all. There's backups in this league that do more than check-down. Of course your team is significantly weaker if your starter is out, but at least you still have a chance.

Like what teams?

He's just going to start pulling names out of a hat and claim he has followed them closely.

I mean I don't know about you but I think Brandon Weeden could do some things with Dallas is given a chance. Or imagine Kellen Clemens leading the Chargers. Wow, I am envious.

If you don't know, me telling you won't change anything. I'm guessing none of you even watch football outside of the Jags? No wonder why you're all confused half of the time.

You are the genius pretending that the Jaguars are unique in being screwed if their QB gets injured.
Pretty sure Josh McCown is the starter in Cleveland. Luke is the backup in N.O.
