Quote:What's sad is you discreditting world health organizations that have been working with Ebola for years. "I'm starting to think we're just not sure how it spreads" is a stupid statement, because Ebola transmission isn't some forgein concept. You continue to dig yourself a deeper hole when you could simply state "I was misspoken". I'm not sure why something as little as conceding your point kills your ego so much. Stop being so insecure.
What's sad is believing everything you are spoon fed. Surely it's not a foreign concept, it was weaponized by us. We know how it works. We just are not taking the proper measures to keep it out of our country. Airport screening for Ebola is a waste of time/money/resources.

Quote:Amber Vinson now free of the Ebola Virus.

Nina Pham's condition upgraded to good.

Nina Pham's dog tests negative for Ebola virus.

Science: 1

End of the world doomsday preppers: 0
Yeah, luckily they were able to get treatment, including blood transfusions from a donor who beat the illness. What happens when there are 150 people in the US sick with it (if it gets to that) there won't be enough blood with anti-bodies to go around. One guy, gave it to two people...so far we've been lucky. We need to stop importing vomiting people who are dying on planes and claiming it's malaria.

Oh, absolutely. Money is the driving point for profit and not-for-profit hospitals. The hospital I work with use to be a not-for-profit hospital. Two years ago, it was bought out by a for-profit hospital. What changed on the clinical and patient care levels? Nothing.
So why re they the devil then? Anything that is setup to make money if evil in the left wing libs mind.

Anyway... I'm glad they finally addressed it by restricting import of those people to 5 airports but, the airport screening is garbage and these people should be quarantined until they should be symptom free.

hailtoyourvictor, question for you. You think their science is good enough..would you knowingly come down with this strain of Ebola if you thought you could help some people in the process? Just curious, not picking on you or anything. You are in this field and I respect your insight unlike your snarky prepper remark. Excuse me if I'd like to have enough food/water/supplies on hand in case the local Walgreens shuts down for whatever reason. My kids aren't going to care about the politics of it, they're going to want to eat.
Why would anyone knowingly come down with the strain of Ebola? Are you trying to twist my words/misrepresent my point? I've never claimed that there was a cure for Ebola or that it wasn't a terrible, terrible disease. My stance, the entire time, has been that the transmission of the virus is not some foreign concept.

If this virus was as devastating and mysterious as right wing hysteria-drivers, then there would be more cases of Ebola in Texas. Instead, we the virus has been contained and the only host is in good condition. In a few days, Ebola in Texas will be nullified.
As someone recently said - Ebola has never come up full force against 21st century medicine.

It's not all that mysterious in it's transmission or treatment. It's a question of resources and concentrated effort.

Right. And, although it's not as affordable or accessible as it needs to be, the U.S. has the potential to provide the best health care in the world.
Nope was just asking a question...

Let me rephrase it, would you go to Africa to help?

No, I would not. Why?

I was just curious...

Ok, why? I'm curious as to why you are curious.

I know that I wouldn't go. For no other reason that it's an unsafe part of the world. It's not just Ebola that can kill you quick around there.

Nina Pham tests negative for Ebola. Amber Vinson and Nina Pham both cleared and no other cases reported in Texas.

Gus Bradley was unable to attend his Monday press conference because he went home after reporting he had the "flu".

If you weren't worried before, now is the time to panic.

On a basis of cost vs. rewards, it seems to me that a quarantine should be the policy.

How many people would be quarantined? Maybe 300? How many people in the US? Roughly 300 million. Shouldn't we be taking the million to one odds of a quarantine vs. putting 300 million people at risk? Do the pundits really know the risk to a confidence level of a million to one? It's not like those quarantined are being harmed, just inconvenienced.

I know one banned poster who is probably throwing a party; him and his 5 alts.

Maybe the people with their heads in the sand are the smart ones?

Anyways, saw another thread about this and thought I'd bring back the overblown hysteria from the likes of the tin foil hat people.

Its almost like he wants the disease over here.....maybe he does....after all, liberals hate America, I'm convinced of that.

Damn Obama even sucks at infecting Americans with Ebola. This guy can't do anything right.
Quote:Its in the beginning stages.

But yeah, keep mocking this like the typical liberal would.

....
lol.....

Some ridiculous hysteria earlier in the thread.

It was another GOP driven hysteria that turned out to be a load of dung. It's been proven they freaked out over nothing and so have dropped it by the way side to never speak of it again.
