Quote:FIND A WAY TO LOSE????? LOL.
We don't have to find anything. We just lose, it's not like we've lost the ability to figure out how bad we are. We are just bad!!
And yes, this is what it means to be a Jags fan. And it doesn't look like it's really gonna get much better for a while. A LONG WHILE.
Unfortunately, I think you're right...
I think best case is we are competing for playoffs in 2016, but I'm not betting my paycheck on that.
To the op and everyone who supports this crap. Congrats you are now a member of the:

As I indicated earlier, his picks seem to follow a pattern. The first pick is him making a reasonable gamble his receiver will either come through and make the play for him, or at least stop the defender from making the play. The second pick is always a [BAD WORD REMOVED] kind of throw. I'm wondering if desperation/frustration/impatience is contributing to those picks.
i agree with this
everything is on bortles right now, which really is not the no pressure environment bradley envisaged for him
he may have more picks than gabbert but i can tell you we have seen more playmaking ability from him than we ever saw from gabbert or henne. Bortles elevates those around him and pulls plays out of his [BLEEP] on a regular basis so a few bad picks two games in are not going to convince me he can't get it together.
the defense can't get off the field, we got lucky today in my view but generally our third down defense is shocking and bortles is desperately trying to make plays regularly out of nothing.
He is leading this team and sadly unlike luck he doesn't have the luxury of a reggie wayne to help him. Imagine stafford without his megatron blankie or even big ben without antonio brown. With rookies all over the field bortles doesn't have that guy who can make those big plays like the brown 30 yard catch today. The down the sideline pick, if that had been brown or keenan allen they come down with that or at least knocked the ball away but those deep passes that bortles loves to throw are not in robinsons armory right now. I think thats more marquise lee's skillset
Anyway I don't think you can curb the ints ever as i believe he will always be a 2 td 1 int or 3 td 1 int kind of guy. He pushes the ball down the field and takes risky shots which sometimes come off and sometimes don't and if you curtail that and tell him to start checking it down i think you loose part of what makes him special.
it's a tough situation and though i may be well off with my 6 and 10 prediction this year I think bortles will improve with experience so i'm still banging the 8-8 drum for next year.
I gave Gabbert a pass his rookie year
But the difference is Bortles passes the eye test, his Ints are not just bad plays, its aggressive plays, he doesnt look scared and he has command of the offense he just needs to keep developing and get all the weapons back
I vote we delete this thread.
Soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo dumb.
I just hope Blake gets out of the habit of staring down receivers. It was obvious to me watching on TV where he was going to throw almost every play and if it's obvious to me then it's going to be obvious to the DB's. He showed in pre-season he can scan the field but didn't seem to do that very well today.
He's started 2 games people.....2. In one of those games he had a 78% cp.
Rookies make mistakes but most rookies aren't playing with 5 other rookies.
The drops, penalties, bad WR play from Hurns. Hurns looked like he got abused on every throw to him past the LoS. Like he wouldn't fight for position when if he did that pick 6 doesn't happen.
Not gonna get on my boy Bortles because I want him in to learn and get better. But I'm getting tired of the glad to be in a game at the end and well we're playing rookies everywhere stuff. That's on Caldwell constructing the team like this putting it in this position to play all kids. After two drafts and free agency periods we have no impact players and it looks like a lot of our picks aren't good. If you're building a team thru the draft which I find laughable in this age of football, you can't be missing with top picks.
Here is one thing to consider.
He wants to be like Favre and that is not a bad thing.
Favre not only currently has the NFL TD record but he also has the NFL Int record. With this type of QB you have to take the good with the bad. If Bortles comes close to Favre I would be very excited. Favre is going to be a Hall of Famer.
whoever you are saying that bortles is not the answer are crazy the guy has literally play a game and a half you gotta give him a chance for the game to slow down for him
Big Ben 26-36 273 yds 1 TD. Blake 22-36 191 yds O TD with at least 5 drops. He was the second leading rusher with 14 yds! Sorry, this team has a lot more problems than QB when he's the second leading rusher with 14 yds.
So? It wasn't all Henne? The team is the same with either QB. What's that tell you.
But hey, did you see those screens? The dancers? The pools? The Miami DJs?
Great game day experience. Steeler fans were raising hell. Jag fans lounging in the pool and cabanas, shakin it to the Sobe groove.
Pfffft.
Within two weeks, it'll be draft talk again. 0-5 will do that.
Jags = Fulham.
Checking out of the running play, then throwing the pick 6 was not good.
Got to win the next 3 winnable games.
Thanks to Scobee and Firehouse. That was the highlight. 40 yards.. ... Hook n ladder comin up.

Hmm.....3 weeks ago it was ALL Henne.
But I agree with you.
I like Bortles, but do think everyone needs to slow down on thinking he is a franchise QB. Now after 67 starts and he has a 27-40 record I will be upset. You know like Matthew Stafford.
Tom Brady had a horrible game last week... he must not be good.
