Quote:Reality is wayyyyyy over-rated...  For instance, in reality the Jacksoville Jaguars are 0-5.

On this MB, I can hope every Sunday that we may just turn this thing around

I think you are being prisoner of the moment on this one.  I don't know if you remember the demise of JDR time period...  Or any period where TMD was taking over every thread...  Or the Tebow time period...  Or the Garrard mediocrity period...

There were many days much darker than this one...

This MB is garbage. These fans are d.a.'s. I swear Ive never seen such (insert offensive bad word the message board wont allow here). Its like you punks only know pop warner football.
Bortles is NOT a problem.

underCat, otoh, is a problem.

There's definitely an absence of much perspective or even sanity on here at times although my bet is it's like that on most NFL fan forums. Probably part of the reason some teams have done away with them. (The forums, hopefully not the fans.)
I'm not sure whats more amusing to me; the fact that my football opinion causes people to go completely ape shiz and exclaim that I don't know football. As if I had just claimed that Borltes missed a hot read on the weak side or something.  Or the fact that people cannot help themselves and continue to compare Borltes to every great QB known to man kind, than justify the comparison as if history will repeat it self because xyz occurred many years ago. Lets compare Bortles to a QB on our own roster. How about Henne has more TD's than INTS. Hmmm...

Why are people still entertaining this "high quality" of a thread? Let it die along with all the other ignorant posts.

You know you're right. I have seen some teams just dont have forums. They're only forum is from 3rd party fans.
If its the 'rookie" problem thats the contributor to the 2013 part 2 season, like O Line, WRs and QB, Then perhaps it falls on Caldwell. If you call this rebuilding after last year was rebuilding, with very little improvement and all thats left is hope, then the front office has to shoulder some blame.

All we asked for this year after last years embarrassment was to be competitive. So far, we havent even covered the spread.

Its getting old real quick for many fans. I think its the long time fans who are becoming immune. Thank you Shad, may I have another. Whack!

I watched the first half of that Steelers game again and Bortles good man. He just doesn't have jack to make plays for him on this team. The quality of skill players on this team is so bad it pisses you off. Bortles might've won both these games with some real players. The o line looked good too. I didn't see nothing wrong with them in this game.

I know it's easier said than done, but knowing we would have a rookie quarterback this season it would have been nice to have picked up a quality vet.  A Vincent Jackson type to help at the young qb.

Please leave and never come back. He is a rookie making rookie mistakes, but he is moving this offense thank god.

Alright JungleCat, let's compare the two.

This team went 3 and out 21 times this season.

Chad Henne went 3 and out 15 times.

Blake Bortles went 3 and out 6 times.

Bortles has converted 9 of 22 3rd downs (40%)

Henne has converted 6 of 21 3rd downs (28%)

Bortles has thrown for 26 passes that went more than 10 yards

Henne has thrown just 15

Bortles has over 200 ypg.  Henne doesn't.

Bortles has a higher YPA

Bortles has a higher completion percentage.

Bortles has more yards.

Only reason i'm gonna reply and not bump this to the top is because it was just bumped.  People, please stop posting to this non-sense.  This thread needs to go away, no more feeding the troll.

Ladies and Gentlemen, the affects of crack on the human brain.  Bortles is, bar none, a very exciting prospect who will def lead this team to playoff victories in the years to come.   He has great instincts, smart and a great work ethic.   We are a young team, we are growing together.  The bond these guys are forming as rookies will make them play in sync with another and play harder for one another then you realize as they get more experience.  So, respectfully, please just shut the F up.

GO JAGS!

Quote:This kid is nothing like the comparisons. He's a turnover machine. He was inaccurate and threw floaters all day long. People are giving him a pass but hes the reason we lost.

Relax. He got schooled by Father Time on Sunday. Dick LeBeau is like...... 20 - 2 lifetime against Rookie QB's. It was expected.... and yeah, he threw some INT's. But let's not let forget who this kid has to throw the football to on Sundays right now....

But Caldrac, Henne had the same receivers. One could argue that since the QB change Hurns regressed. Is there a connection?

Yep. Hurns was schooling people in Washington with Henne when that sure TD bounced off his hands and we were down 30-0 at halftime.

I can't believe you are still bumping this thread. Lol.
