And some people are just too stupid or stubborn to understand the purpose of the comparison. It was more aimed at ignorant fans that want to make a decision on a player after 2 1/2 games. I thought it was pretty simple to understand. Then again, I'm not flailing wildly about some player being a bust, at the most difficult position in the NFL, after he has started two whole games.

Bortles maybe the only bright spot on this team. I don't know why he is being questioned. When you have a poor offensive line, rookie wr's who don't fight for their QB, and 0 running game what else can he do?

The defense unquestionably showed progress. The offense IMO looks better than it did at the start of the year. They were better in San Diego though. No one is saying things are great but there has been progress.

If anything, Bortles is a problem SOLVER.. I can even go as far as to say he'll be the best QB this team has seen since Brunell.. Quite possibly, even better..
If this team was so influenced by "win now and screw the future" mentality, they woulda grabbed a starter out of FA and not taken Bortles..
I never would have talked so highly about Gabbert after his first couple of starts.. Bortles is already light years ahead of him..

Agreed 100%. Andrew Luck in his rookie year probably wouldn't have done any better.
