I remember this ad ESPN did for Scotland back in 2006. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J_rj5uLmK40

I'd fall back to Ireland as well as a 2nd team/country.

I saw them play the Netherlands in Orlando in the 1994 WC. Ireland lost. I want to say 3-2. What a freaking atmosphere

My son and I will be. Can't wait. Scotland game was a good time. Look forward to seeing two WC qualifiers go at it tomorrow.

USA are my "second" team.

England is actually my #1.  God save the Queen.

Yours too? I inadvertently zapped to the Belgian TV channel and their match against Tunisia was suspended because of hail. In 20 degree Celsius weather.
As a Welshman I always get to be nice and impartial at this time of year Big Grin

Will be following the US team, think they will make it out of the group stage and may cause a shock or two.

Everbank looks great tonight btw. Great event to have broadcast around the world as we are negotiating an extended naming rights deal.

GOAL USA!!!

GOAL USA!!!
What channel is it on over here?

Edit: Nevermind, got it on BT Sports 2 and just caught the second goal.

Jaguars livecam looks quite cool with people in the stadium.

Crowd in EverBank was 52,033. That's more than the previous two USMNT matches combined.

It was a great crowd. Very enthusiastic with lots of energy. The Nigerian fans were great too.
the only thing im hanging on to is the fact that soccer as a sport has alot of parrody in it, its one of those sports where it is not unheard of for the small teams to beat the big teams... like i said in another thread, watch the mancity vs wigan FA cup final game last year, or the chelsea vs. munich 2012 champions league game(little less obvious) but man city should have mopped the floor with wigan, 30 mil dollar roster vs a half a billion dollar roster and wigan pulled it off to win a cup... wigan was a team being relegated and man city was 2nd in the prem  league(had a few coachin controversies but still) manC should have crushed wigan... same with  chelsea vs munich, few weeks before that they lost 3-1 to napoli and everyone thought they were done for in the champions league... then they went on a role and beat barca in barca but had to face munich for the cup in munich(its randomly chosen where cup final will be held and coincidentally, Bayren got home field advantage).. long game that some may say CFC should have lost but regardless they took it to PK's and beat Bayern Munich for the champions cup, which if u dont know is like the super bowl of soccer... point is while it would be extremely unlikely USA makes it outta the group stage,  it is possible... but i would say if u wanna watch the whole world cup, pick a back up team lol... im going with Germany and Belgium, im half german and belgium has alot of my favorite club teams stars on the rosternot to mention im a huge waffle fan.. still pullin for US while we are in it though

I never did see a final number. Breaks another southeast record for attendance at a soccer game. Good stuff.
That's a very yellow stadium.
Oh my, after seeing just how easily the Croatians just broke the vaunted Brazilian defense, the Brazil team suddenly looks a whole lot more beatable.
Some of the lights have gone out in the stadium? lol

I think they just got turned back on.
We don't have a tv in the building I'm currently in.  We are hoping it gets installed tomorrow....even if they do, we arent sure that it will have ESPN.

I went to watch the ESPN Gametracker and they blocked it here at work.  Come on man!  I have my phone, but its easier to pull it up on the computer.

Here's a quick recap; Croatia went ahead on a Brazil own goal by Marcelo with an attack which beat the Brazilian defense with remarkable ease. Neymar brought the Brazilians level again with a very nice shot just minutes after he showed his maturity by elbowing a Croatian in the neck.

Brazil is slightly more in control than Croatia but Croatia is a lot better people give them credit for.
