Well that makes it a bit more interesting.
Christ your defenders are absolute crap.

Two guys defending one man and he still almost scores. Thank god for Tim Howard.
Absolutely gutted for the US to go out. At least they can be proud of their tournament performance unlike England
We just aren't good enough. I applaud the effort.
Wondo absolutely botched that flick on by Jones. He punted it over the net from less than 10 yards out. Come on... oh well, I know it's not as easy as it looks. Belgium had way too many chances. Sooner or later they will score if you give them that many shots.
Herculean effort by Howard today. Serious question here, any reason Bradley refused to kick with his left foot? I know he must be able to or he wouldn't be on the team, but he kept switching to his right at the most inopportune times. Is it injured?
I'm still proud of Team USA. Regardless of today's outcome. Team USA might have been eliminated, but the movement is spreading.

He doesn't like to use his left, I'd assume. That is true for a lot of players, unfortunately.
Even though we’re done in the World Cup I like that over the last three weeks our nation came together. In an age where we’re so split here, seeing Americans of so many different background unite was cool.
Now back to our regularly schedule divisive hatred.
Well as a complete soccer novice I'll say this World Cup I watched more soccer than ever. while I'm not a soccer fan ill watch the next World Cup. I enjoyed this last game coming down to the end and I do appreciate how fast moving the games are.

Did you just watch the US games?

I hope he watches other games as well. Every four years I get sucked in and have to see how it plays out, even with the US no longer involved.
At least the US team kept us really interested for quite a while.
I don't know enough (any) soccer history to know if Howard's performance was historic, but without him it sure seemed as if the final score could have been 8-1.

That's what I kept thinking too.
Tim Howard made more saves than any other player in World Cup history last night. That's how historic his performance was
The simplest comparison is taking a high number of saves in hockey, like 28, and doubling it.
16 saves is a lot at any level of soccer. It speaks to the quality of the Belgium team, Ghana had a lot of shots too but they weren't on target.

That has to make our defensive effort historically bad as well. the fact that the score was not 6-7 to 1 was amazing. I guess I am not soccer savvy enough to understand how Klinsmann thought we could win by just sitting on our goal playing defense?
