You used to be more independent as a poster before. I guess fitting in with the clique was more important to you.
Nope.. Just finally noticing what they've always seen haha
Quote:You disagree with them signing a backup/insurance policy?
He's not our backup, he's the starter. Hahahahaha

Same as it ever was with you... the names change but the schitck
always stays the same...
Henne on 1010xl in a few minutes.

He's the starter until he's not the starter.
Quote:It'd be a good idea for everyone to stop referring to Henne as a good anything.
He's a transition QB, he's a backup QB, he's a starting QB. No matter what kind of QB you qualify him as he's a bad one. It's a sad testimony that right now he's essentially all we have.
I disagree.
For the Jaguars specific situation, Chad Henne is a good fit. He wouldn't be a good fit for many teams. But that's irrelevent from the standpoint that he's not under contract for any of those teams. He's a Jacksonville Jaguar.
Considering where the Jaguars are in year # 2 of a major rebuilding program and that there's not an established winning starting caliber QB on the roster, Henne fits like a glove. He knows the system and what the coaches expect. He's earned respect from his teammates. He's willing to help with the transition of the QB of the future the Jaguars eventually bring in. Including providing competition in a manner that the QB of the future is going to have to earn his place on the field. For the Jaguars purposes, Henne fits better than any of the QB's that are already or will be on the open market next week.
Quote:It's not his fault I'm probably the most coherent and clearheaded poster on the board.
LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLLOOLOLOL.

You can believe he's a fit for the team, but he's not a good QB in any way at all.

What Free Agent QB is a better fit for the 2014 Jaguars than Chad Henne?
I was wondering, does anyone know what the veteran minimum is for a QB???
I just wanted to compare it to the 2yr deal Henne just signed.
Also, what's the vet min for a RB?? Just wondering b/c of MJD.
Thanks
Quote:Exactly...
The QB on the open market I like the best from an overall standpoint is someone I'm very familiar with: Shaun Hill. Yet, what makes Henne more valuable for the Jaguars than Hill is Henne already has a season in the Jaguars system, with the current coaches. He also has earned credibility in the Jaguars locker room. Any other QB that comes into the Jaguars picture has a significant transition period ahead. That's not what the Jaguars need from a veteran QB.

While it remains to be seen how the overall personnel evaluation of the Jaguars brass will turn out, one thing that impresses me about the organization under the currrent brass is they have a strong understanding of what's needed in order to build the team with the blueprint that they have come up with. The Chad Henne re-signing certainly reinforces my opinion.

A better QB. And to see who the better QBs are just do a search for my older posts, I already went over it.
Quote:Bye bye, Blaine Gabbert.
Hope you land with a team that will let you play.
I would love it to be the texans

I knew this thread would feature some meltdowns by specific posters, and they sure didn't disappoint.
