Shaun Hill is a winner!
Quote:Meet the new dog, same as the old dog.
Don't you ever get tired of this same old tired song and dance?
Obviously not...
Quote:Shaun Hill immediately comes to mind, as a FA if they wanted a veteran...
I'll take the guy who knows the playbook inside and out over a journeyman backup thanks.

Gabbert*
Quote:Shaun Hill lol
lol?? He's easily better than Henne.
Quote:Shaun Hill is a winner!
I looked up
winner in the dictionary and there was a picture of Shaun Hill
Quote:Shaun Hill lol
He dislikes Henne so he'd rather have a guy who doesn't know the system and is no better of a QB than Henne.
Agenda, he has one. (Let's also remember we're talking about the backup QB, not the starter)
Quote:lol?? He's easily better than Henne.
No not easily. They are about the same. Neither are the answer and you know that.
Quote:...and there it is, folks.
It's official.
LOL
Whats official? Caldwell making a Gene Smith-like move? Yes.
Quote:lol?? He's easily better than Henne.
Based on what he did 4 years ago? Because that was the last time he threw more than 13 passes in a season...
Are really up in arms about the BACKUP?!?
This is ridiculous!
SMH

David Carr was the backup of Eli Manning when they won that last superbowl, what kind of argument are you trying to make here exactly?
Quote:Henne not only is terrible but represents the losing culture this team is trying to move away from.
As bad as Henne is, he's cheap enough to keep around. Going more expensive on a backup Quarterback isn't a great idea.. especially if you plan on drafting two Quarterbacks. Because not many teams are going to keep three Quarterbacks on. You want one that you can cut without a lot of dead money.

A picture of Aaron Murray was there also, but in parentheses it said (5-10 vs ranked opponents)

He doesn't dislike Henne. You may not have been here long enough, but this is basically an annual act/meltdown
Quote:No not easily. They are about the same. Neither are the answer and you know that.
Neither are the "answer" as in long term starter. I've watched Hill over the years, he's a better passer than Henne. Hill can at least isn't checkdown and short pass all the time.

He just wants the attention. And he's getting it.

Oh, I guess he forgot how to play QB since then. Hill > Henne.
If it keeps Gabbert off the field, I'm all for it
There's a good chance a rookie bears henne out before mid season then Henne will be where he belongs in a support role. Its not a bad move for the future. Let's just see what the draft brings us.
